If anything, Kerry were too respectful of Tyrone in advance of 08. The so-called 'twin towers' strategy was meant to nullify the Tyrone straitjacket defence. When Tyrone hammered the hammer, Kerry had no Plan B. Can Northern teams get the chip off their shoulder? What many of us don't like is the ultra-defensive play. I very much doubt any Kerry person on meeting M Harte or P Canavan would be anything other than respectful. The latter is to this era what Matt Connor was to a previous one, an inspiration beyond words, rivalry or banality. It is just a game at the end of the day- but when played well by some, it has sublime artistry about it! plike (Kerry) - Posts: 569 - 29/08/2016 15:02:04 1907644 Link 0 |
