Tyrone have always been sinned against, never been the instigators. I have zero sympathy for Tyrone, Micky Harte or Sean Cavanagh. What goes around comes around and by God it took a long time for Tyrone to feel the sense of injustice that many a team has felt at the hands of Tyrone. Sean Cavanagh had no shame in rugby tackling McManus. Harte never critisised McCann for him getting Darren Hughes sent of last year, then talks about Keegan getting Cavanagh booked. The sledging that Tyrone brought to the game and every other negative and cynical aspect that accompanied there success. They have brilliant footballers but by god I'm delighted to see Tyrone knocked out and karma finally biting back. shaggylegend (Monaghan) - Posts: 1948 - 06/08/2016 21:24:19 1896917 Link 18 |

It looked like he was being clearly targeted. Whammo86 (Antrim) - Posts: 4519 - 06/08/2016 21:35:10 1896931 Link 1 |
But it was fine to target Aidan O Shea. centerfield (Mayo) - Posts: 360 - 06/08/2016 21:36:27 1896934 Link 0 |
There was at least 2 incidents where Tyrone players went down holding their faces and were not touched in the face at all. sponger (Wicklow) - Posts: 2928 - 06/08/2016 21:37:05 1896936 Link 2 |
I was wondering what Harte would be moaning about post-match. Cavanagh wasn't targeted. He was man-marked out of it and made silly decisions that let his team down. And a manager who oversaw the antics of some Tyrone teams in the past is hardly in a position to complain. ZeitChrist (UK) - Posts: 154 - 06/08/2016 21:37:43 1896937 Link 1 |
I can say these things were true of these players at times cos I can be objective. I've no problem with that. However you can't say it that Keegan is a dirty player which he is while also being a great player. He is both. Embrace it or shut up.

This is laughable !!! Should you not be more concentrating on the fact that your team won instead of sticking the boot in and being like a sheep like a few on here . This carryon is nothing short of sad

I like most Ulster men have supported other Ulster counties in the all Ireland series and was cheering on Donegal today, I celebrated Tyrone's victories in 2005 and 2008 against Kerry but today I was delighted to see Mayo win, the antics by Tyrone against Monaghan in 2013 and 2015 changed my opinion. Mickey Harte could have taken his beating on the chin and not even comment about the incident. shaggylegend (Monaghan) - Posts: 1948 - 06/08/2016 21:52:52 1896954 Link 3 |
I find it be very funny the number of people commenting here. Especially kerry people with the likes of Paul galvin in their team. Monaghan men still can't forgive tyrone for continuing to beat them. Even mc manus came out and said he would have done the same thing regarding the Sean tackle. kevin03 (Tyrone) - Posts: 280 - 06/08/2016 21:53:27 1896956 Link 0 |

Mickey Harte was right though. I don't have any sympathy for him in this regard as he knows the game. Complaining about Mayo or any opponent after a loss is all part of the game. Eamon Fitz Maurice claimed some of his players were 'raped' after the National League final. You didn't hear him talking about the 'raping' carried out by Kerry defenders in other games. He is no different to Macky Harte or indeed Jsmes Horan or Jim Gavin. There are few if any coaches like JBM. The rest are all as good or bad as each other. bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3917 - 06/08/2016 22:16:32 1896977 Link 1 |
