Echo that... Well done Tipp.. This has been coming. It should have happened two years ago. For us, we should just pull out. Our players are good enough to win an All Ireland but County Board and supporters are just not interested in having a county team.

No complaints that the better team won. Cork all over the place and would have been a robbery if we managed to win it. Well done to Tipp hope they can give Kerry a real good game but I would be worried by the 9 piont leaf they nearly let slip.

As for Cork well hopefully we can built momentum through the backdoor but would be surprised if they make it to the q/f. Just too much wrong with this Cork team

We all know the progress that Tipp have made over recent years at underage, and the natural progression would have been to take a Cork/Kerry scalp in munster.

The problem with that was the loss of six of Tipps better footballers to Aussie Rules, the hurlers and emigration.I think six of the team that lost so narrowly to Cork recently didnt start today : Colin O Riordan,O Brien,Kennedy,Cahill and Fahy.

Generally, teams trying to make the breakthrough like Tipp need everybody pulling in the one direction.Liam Kearns deserves a huge amount of credit.

For the loss of so many key players,i think it is a big shock.I would have fancied Tipp with the likes of O Riordan and O Brien on board. To win without them is a brilliant result for Tipp.Delighted for them.

No shock here. Looking at the way Cork collapsed against Kildare in last years Championship it was obvious this was a side shorn of leadership. Actually avoiding Kerry might just be a good thing for Cork as they are well capable of going on a run through the qualifiers. Then again, they might just fold tent and go home for the rest of the year? This Cork football team just cannot be trusted.

The shock was that Cork were within a point of Tipp at the end.

Well done to our lads and thanks to the Cork public who are always gracious in defeat. Tipp needed a win against Cork or Kerry hopefully we can take the Munster cup from the Kingdom in their back yard. Would b just reward for all that work been done underage. The 20 20 vision of Tipp football is on track. For those who don't know that plan it's for Tipp to win a Munster senior football and appear in an all Ireland semi final by the year 2020.

Of course it's a huge shock
Last year you would have fancies tipp to cause teams problems but they lost so many of their better players this year and we're very poor throughout the league this year that you couldn't have fancied them today. We all know cork got relegated but if results on the last day went differently they may well have ended up in the division one semi finals so you would have to have expected them to win coming into today.
all in all a massive result for tipp football especially with the regard football is so lowly held in within the county and only 2thousand at the game shows there wasn't many expecting anything

Outstanding achievement for that group of hardcore football men in South Tipperary. They have the same support from their county board and supporters that the Kilkenny footballers have.

I don't know what has gone wrong with GAA in Cork in general. They have refused to get with the times in both codes.

If Tipp had all their players, it wouldn't have been a shock but to do it without at least 2 top class players and 4 more decent footballers is a shock.

It is extremely difficult for so called "hurling only" counties to make progress in football so this is huge for the footballers. The acid test for Tipp football will be once they start becoming consistent at a higher level for a few years and they have a few more dual players, or have potential hurlers who choose football, what will the county board do? Will they let the dual players continue or make them to choose one or the other at earlier age (and thereby favouring the hurlers).

The Munster seeding sees the provincial finalists given a bye in the following year. Cork will have to start out in the Munster quarter-finals next year. The semi-final draw is an open draw i.e. the teams given a bye to the semi-finals could be drawn against each other or against the quarter-final winners.

Is it a shock? Cork were defeated by a worse team in Kildare in last years champ
