Ulsterman you can't just name Kerry and forget about Donegal here. Two teams were up to no good several times during the game. I know where your coming from with the media's perception but when you only highlight one team yourself, who does it remind you of?

Very simple Saffron, you show a couple of red cards early on at the first sign of a fracas & keep showing them till the players get the message.

Drastic I know, but it would put an end to it sharpish.

there was a red card shown after the first fracas, it didn't have much impact. If anything, players went the opposite way with their behaviour, running to the ref over every incident asking him to card their opponents. Games like this need three refs and good luck to them at that!

The fridge, yeah the McGee incident was bad, he got some nasty punches alright.

Why did he get some nasty punches? Are you really defending his actions?

Move Kerry to Ulster Champ

They'd fit right in.

And why did he get some nasty punches Donegal_abroad? is it because of what was done to fitzgerald's fingers.

how does a ref even gain control of a game like that?

The ref give out 2 reds, 2 blacks and I think 4 yellows in the first half alone. The players were still at it in the second half. The players have to take some responsibility for disciple.

How am I defending his actions? You were happy to overlook how Murphy is treated to focus instead on the 'McGee incident' as you put it. I assumed you meant when he was punched several times.. You didn't specify.

Anyone who plays Kerry knows what you are going to get from Donaghy and Sheehan .
It's par for the course and refs will not send either off so lets stop fooling here.
Donegal played their part too but what are you going to do when the blood is up. I'd say the Kerry crowd were egging the players on so they were always going to play the hero a la o mahony on a couple of occasions.
Ulsterman, are you actually just the mods trying to be contraversial and stir up interest?

Bcfb are you having a laugh? That's the best post I've heard in months. Both teams at it what is the ref suppose to do? Fitzgerald was dead right in what he done to McGee if your fingers are being messed with like that you come out swinging simple as. Ulsterman come on you should know by now Donaghy can do whatever he likes and never get the line.

Can you look at that game and say I am wrong??
If you disagree and don't see it really how can anyone take anything you say here as coming from any type of knowledgeable view point.
I say again Murphy's treatment continues to be a disgrace both by opposition players and referees.

No sympathy for either of them, they both got what they deserved.

Poor advertisement for the game with very poor levels of discipline from Donegal. Wouldn't have happened in JMcG's day & I fear that Gallagher is not up to the task. He has great players at his disposal but they seem to be taking their lead from him & spending too much time mouthing & messing.

Very disappointing.

Nice to see SOME Donegal posters accepting McGees behaviour was uncalled for. Both players in the wrong in this instance.

Fair play Muck very honest post but tbf to Donegal both teams were as bad as each other.

Agreed Muckross. Donegal's tendency to give away cheap frees, tackle poorly and lose yards in frees for mouthing wasn't a feature before but it is now..

First time I seen a Donegal side beaten up and intimidated like that, I think the Donegal camp will be a bit embarrassed when they look back at the game. Sheehan and Donaghy frightened them today and Donegal's reputation has taken a bit of a hit.

Well at least they were in a position to play Kerry as opposed to some.
