I spoke to an officer of the Board yesterday as I was going to be home for final and would have liked to go. He said to get my name on a "waiting list" and the chairman decides who gets them.
Further information that he gave was that.
NY get 100 tickets
Both clubs involved in final get 10-15 tickets each ( Mayo and Dublin )
Sponsors 8 - 10 tickets
Officers, referee's, committee members who are actually going to game all get tickets 35 - 40 tickets
Remainder - 20 - 30 tickets for delegates, clubs, members, supporters etc.
Don't know exactly how accurate this is and I don't have any better way of distributing them. I presume people who actually contribute are given preference and likewise I am sure there are plenty who feel that they are deserving and don't get them.

Not true at all, all clubs get 2 tickets when asked for. I've been both a delegate and chairperson of my club, never have I been denied a ticket when asked whether it be hurling or football. As with anything here in NY, people on the inside track always get the favor of a ticket. But if you are actually involved in your club and support the GAA, you will get a ticket. Safe travels to all going for the hurling and football finals. Both should be great matches.

Surprising results in Junior A playoffs, both Donegal and Monaghan Bs going down to assumed weaker Rockland and Manhattan. Seemed like the money from the senior teams would filter down to the second teams but fair play to rockland and manhattan. Looks like leitrim should make it up to intermediate at first time of asking.

Maybe the early Jamie Clarke sending off will be a lesson to the money teams that buying the championship is not guaranteed. Fair play to Cavan on spending very little money and taking down the big spenders. looking at the contrast in benches on sunday and the strange longford jersey fiasco, I found it quite funny to see them fall flat. Not really trying to knock the Longford team as they seem good lads, but the whole thing resembled a professional soccer team and they seemed a bit caught up in the money aspect. My only question is Why?

they probably want to be a senior team. but I'd say they are sick of losing finals also! cavan probably would prefer not to go senior. cork are supposed to be dropping down and barnabas.

some good players on show in the junior A final who would be good drafts for inters/senior teams next year

My picks in today's finals will be St.Raymonds who have a more balanced outfit.
I'm going to take Minaghan in senior. There up for this game by all accounts and have added strength in management with the addition of Banty so I think he will fire them up.
Overall should be close games.
