I spoke to an officer of the Board yesterday as I was going to be home for final and would have liked to go. He said to get my name on a "waiting list" and the chairman decides who gets them. GPlifer (USA) - Posts: 290 - 30/08/2016 17:45:35 1908266 Link 0 |
Not true at all, all clubs get 2 tickets when asked for. I've been both a delegate and chairperson of my club, never have I been denied a ticket when asked whether it be hurling or football. As with anything here in NY, people on the inside track always get the favor of a ticket. But if you are actually involved in your club and support the GAA, you will get a ticket. Safe travels to all going for the hurling and football finals. Both should be great matches. NarrowBack914 (USA) - Posts: 181 - 30/08/2016 19:23:18 1908319 Link 0 |
Surprising results in Junior A playoffs, both Donegal and Monaghan Bs going down to assumed weaker Rockland and Manhattan. Seemed like the money from the senior teams would filter down to the second teams but fair play to rockland and manhattan. Looks like leitrim should make it up to intermediate at first time of asking. NYCcavanman (USA) - Posts: 204 - 31/08/2016 15:12:13 1908730 Link 0 |
Well done to Cavan yesterday. Right back up senior after one year off and deservedly so. Crossgaa (Mayo) - Posts: 553 - 05/09/2016 12:48:31 1910197 Link 0 |
Maybe the early Jamie Clarke sending off will be a lesson to the money teams that buying the championship is not guaranteed. Fair play to Cavan on spending very little money and taking down the big spenders. looking at the contrast in benches on sunday and the strange longford jersey fiasco, I found it quite funny to see them fall flat. Not really trying to knock the Longford team as they seem good lads, but the whole thing resembled a professional soccer team and they seemed a bit caught up in the money aspect. My only question is Why? NYCcavanman (USA) - Posts: 204 - 06/09/2016 14:14:16 1910728 Link 0 |

posted a reply which didn't get through. basically they wore one set of jersies during the game and immediately changed into other jersies on the field after the game as if to satisfy sponsors NYCcavanman (USA) - Posts: 204 - 07/09/2016 16:52:15 1911412 Link 0 |
To Much Time put into Facebook and Sponsors etc. Just thought Cavan was going to buckle over .

will longford be pushed to go senior next year newyorklad (USA) - Posts: 111 - 07/09/2016 20:22:19 1911508 Link 0 |
they probably want to be a senior team. but I'd say they are sick of losing finals also! cavan probably would prefer not to go senior. cork are supposed to be dropping down and barnabas. NYCcavanman (USA) - Posts: 204 - 07/09/2016 21:27:00 1911537 Link 0 |
Longford go senior. Why would they do that. They were junior and never won that. Then asked to go intermediate and lost that too. Can teams choose where they will play or does top team not advance. Longford at the end of the day were an average inter team. I'd say mayo. Sligo. Westmeath and longford not much between them

My picks in today's finals will be St.Raymonds who have a more balanced outfit. Crossgaa (Mayo) - Posts: 553 - 11/09/2016 13:48:34 1912740 Link 0 |
What an upset yesterday in the park. The better team won on the day and donegal can have no argument with that... All the talk of 3 in a row beforehand makes this victory even better... Wayovertheline (Kerry) - Posts: 58 - 12/09/2016 19:21:14 1913213 Link 0 |
Heard that Donegal are going objecting to Monaghan over one of their sanctions. Hahahahahahaha, have they no shame? GPlifer (USA) - Posts: 290 - 13/09/2016 13:30:44 1913595 Link 0 |
Are Donegal protesting that Monaghan didn't pay the market rate for their sanctions?! they set the prices, everyone must pay to their level NYCcavanman (USA) - Posts: 204 - 13/09/2016 13:53:45 1913616 Link 0 |
Clearly paying to Their Level of market Value isn't sufficient.
