Replying To bleedfootball:  "Barnabas play monaghan this weekend....this is a massive game any chance Barnabas can pull off a win?"
What happened to Cork footballers and Galway hurlers yesterday
Cork a complete no show for game against Donegal and Galway short a few.

In Park all day yesterday what a come back from Barnabas fully deserved the victory through hard work and determination and with 14 men most of the game. Brooklyn blew away Kerry in the first game with a few goals for kerry keeping the scoreboard respectable. Cork must be in a bad place not fielding against donegal who had all their all stars in the stand.

Want to congratulate the Saints on a good win, took the scalp of 1 of the big 2….dont know if Monaghan were missing any of their star players but none the less, the Saints battled and got the points. Is it just me or does the quality of matches in the park so far seem down as to past years???? With teams not showing up and the schedule getting changed so often, you'd think we are going backward instead of surging towards the future especially after the NY county team ran Roscommon to a 1 in May. Ah well, the summer is truly upon us and hopefully the lead into the playoffs makes things more interesting.

The saints did very well especially with 14 men for most of the game. Monaghan were missing a few and were caught on the hop. Should be school clash with them and donegal on Sunday. I'd expect Monaghan to be fired up and possibly win that game. Who is favorite in intermediate?

LONGFORD OR CAVAN FOR INTERMEDIATE . BUT I SEE WESTMEATH HAVE GOT THREE GOOD SANACTIONS AND SLIGO WILL BE THEIR ABOUTS ALSO

Brilliant to see Barnabas in action at weekend, great bunch of players. Afraid though like all others they are playing for runners up. Having said that was delighted to see on Croke Park website today that Galway and Cork are filling up all their sanctions. must be going to put in an effort. Would be a tragedy for the GAA to lose clubs like that that have been here forever.
What's even more worrying is that Intermediate is fast becoming the new senior, without action in a few years they also will have spent themselves right out of existence.

Inters this year have been very interesting and some what hard fought. Think Cavan the team to beat, but Westmeath, Sligo, Longford with their sanctions could end up with the chip. Monaghan vs Donegal Sunday should be a great match. Monaghan will want to get back on track after losing to the Saints and Donegal have been coasting along playing nice football. The Saints vs Kerry Saturday evening should be interesting, don't know if Kerry have used up their 4 sanctions or still holding out bit more, but the Saints have already beat them so they will be looking to save face id imagine. The Inter matchup Saturday has Westmeath vs Rockland, could either be a total walk over by Westmeath or turn out to be a great match, depending on what Rockland team shows up.

I see on the GAA website the schedule for the remaining GAA year, i hope its wrong by what I'm looking at. Has the Junior B semi-finals listed for the 18 of August and final listed for the 21st….same crap as last year!!!! Do they ever learn??? I know scheduling with all the teams that are involved can get hectic at the best of times, but how do you put a final on 2 days after the semis????? It wrecks my head, did the same thing as last year.

Just checked that. It's not the first time that games got squished together but I know this year the world games are the week before and may have impacted this. It's over early this year which I agree with. They should be talking now of some competition for mid September , October
Think a interprovincial or a competition with Boston , philly and Chicago might be worth pondering.
Would be nice to see a county game being arranged with a good county team from Ireland in October. We need something because the senior division here in lob sided to say the least. Donegal streets ahead of the pack. Well know more this weekend about Kerry and Monaghan
Monaghan signed up a few good county men and Kerry got the Wexford captain Malone.

Narrowback I could not agree more with you. Teams will not get to train in between semi final and final and if anybody picks up a knock in the semi final they have two days to rest?? Does anybody else see the stupidity in this

Once Again The NY board does not have a clue how to do anything right. PArk will be closed in 2 years. It doesn't benefit collage sharing it with no money to be made.

Entertaining games in park last night. Kerry too strong for Barnabas. Kerry have add some real firepower around the middle. Credit to Barnabas though for sticking with their team from last year. Westmeath look set to claim intermediate this year in my opinion. Solid performance

SOme very good games in the park yesterday .. Mayo beat Brooklyn by two points.. Kerry/donegal beat Cavan in the last ten.... Monaghan gave a good run at the Money men... and even the best game was the UNder 21 final which Barnabas won after a nice comeback.. i assume a few of those players play in the higher ranks

looks like kerry back in the frame and cork all but done for the year, donegal and monaghan have serious talent, donegal an impressive outfit, surely the most talented squad this side of home

5 of the players in u21 final (3 Rays, 2 Barnabas) played in the 1pm intermediate match for Mayo against Brooklyn. Fair play for them playing two matches in such hot conditions. The key players for each club play with the respective Junior teams for their clubs.

Was in the park all day yesterday and the heat was blistering. Fair play to all players that took part in games yesterday as that could not have been easy. Don't know how brooklyn lost the first game after a very slow start they completely outplayed Mayo but couldnt take their scores and a dopped ball into their own net ultimately cost them the game. Hurling game was pretty much a walkover. The ladies final was entertaining. Monaghan seem to have weakness along the line there was a number of tactical decisions that cost them the match and a host of wides meant they were never going to beat the donegal all stars. All in all an enjoyable day even if it was 100 degrees.

It's clear after yesterday that Monaghan won't be beating the Donnie all stars. Can't see Barnabas or Cork getting close to them. We shall wait and see how Kerry do against Minaghan next week. Donegal had county stars in the subs all day. Powerful team.
