Tyrone V Kerry Predictions

Cavan Slasher i am from Down, i have no loyalty to tyrone, the only county i dislike more that tyrone ia armagh, i would never support either team, and the odds of ever having to support cavan in an All Ireland final are non existent. this cliche of having to support another county because they are from the same province is a nonsense. i will not bow down to your insults. you should be ashamed of yourself for jumping on the tyrone bandwagon. support your own county you joke.

FTQ you must surely be a dissapointment to all great down supporters. No one hates tyrone more than a derryman married to a tyrone woman we have had to live withall the negative comments about derry footballers for the past decades at every special occasion and every family gathering. But that is only until we are out of the competition and then the next Ulster team standing will get our support.I am firstly a Derryman Secondly an Ulsterman and thirdly an Irishman. And for what it is worth I believe that this is the best tyrone team Yet. I think that they are playing a more honest brand of football than in 2003 and 5. Their work rate for each other off and on the ball is an inspiration to watch. I believe Colm mc Cullagh is the prime example for a small little lad he gets around and is always available to sweep up or take a pass and deliver with precision. I believe stephen O neill is the best footballer in Ulster but I hope that his return does not impact on the morale and commitment of this hard working TEAM. It will be a great game if both Teams given their best. I will be supporting Tyrone and hopefully they can do the double Minors and Seniors. Tyrone Abu

Very Very well said F.T.Q. Like your style. All this provinsial craic is unbelievable. From what I see it's others taking credit wherever they can get some. About time someone let people like Cavan slasher know that he is from Cavan and not Tyrone. Fair enough to offer support to a neighbouring county but not so fanatically. Are they not embarrassed! It is embarrassing.

Derryman,

I'd be firstly an Irishman, then a Kerryman and then a Munsterman.

Obviously you think differently.

I wouldnt wish to split hairs over the subject but it is asimple progression regardless from which end you start at. Given that you put Irish affiliation first your second should be your Province. I think if you apply your mind to it you might understand my thinking. However I did note that there are three other provinces which you dont align yourself with. Any way good luck to Kerry But even more good luck to tyrone. Here is hoping for acracking game and may the best team on the day win.

F.T.Q. I have always supported my province. I make no apologies to you or anyone else for doing so. In the 60's and 90's i supported Down in their All-Irelands. You are the one with the problems! Ignorance is no excuse for your anti Tyrone bias and you should grow up a bit lad. Did someone from Tyrone take your candy?

Cavan Slasher "Anti-Tyrone Bias". Maybe you should take a look at your postin history and see if you can draw any parallels between you and him. Hint, just replace Tyrone in that statement with another county and bobs your uncle!

i think tyrone are going to beat kerry again they have been gettting better as they go on and they now have their full squad to chose from (first time since 2005)if kerry had the same injurys over the last few years they would struggle too.
kerry have let big leads slip this year on 4 occasions nfl final derry, msfc final cork, all ireland semi final cork and all ireland semi final replay cork.CORK ARE NOT A GOOD SIDE
kerry's backline is weak tyrone will expose this, the keeper is also weak doesnt command the goalmouth area eg.james masters goal
kerry wont get a big lead against tyrone to cushion them over the line in the last few mins,if kerry are to win they will have to play for 70 mins something they havent done in a long time tyrones intensity will be a very new concept to some of that kerry team.

like i said tyrone to win by around 2 points i reckon

Help. Last year I was able to get stats on all the players in the championship through a link called penpics. I can't find it now.
Could someone please direct me to it or a link that supplies that same type of information. TIA

Only one Tyrone will turn up (ie the busy bees of old) but which Kerry will show its face? If they start thinking two much about it then they are ditched straight away, but if they concentrate on the game itself rather than the result then they should shade it.

I worry about the Kerry half backs. They are at best workmanlike, and they will have to do a lot better on Sunday. It is also essential that the Kerry midfield doesn't get entangled in any tomfoolery, although a lot will depend on the referee in this regard. Further up the field, I'd feel happier if Tommy Walsh played in the half forward line, with or without 'the destroyer' at his elbow.

If the Tyrone half backs can initiate a series of attacks unchecked then they could be on to a goal rush. On the other hand, a period of sustained midfield dominance for Kerry could bring the twin towers down on the Tyrone goal with a vengeance. Either way, both teams must not panic when the other side is in the ascendant, although positional switches and substitutions will be incredibly important, especially if the other side is on a roll.

Personally, I could do without all the nonsense about there being previous between these two teams. The game is about who puts their game plan into effect on the day, responds better to the challenge and converts more of their chances. With that in mind, I think we should leave the mind games and the histrionics to the soccer crowd, as it has no place in the GAA. Hopefully, both teams will remember this fact, and let's hope the referee reminds them as and when necessary.

It was a bit disheartening to see some eejit complaining about a Tyrone supporter bearing a flag to his place of work. Hopefully, that sort of blinkered idiocy will die a quick death- but forgive me for hoping that those flags will not be flying high when all is done and dusted at the end of the week.

As a rugby fan first and foremost, I have always said that I'm Munster first, second and to the last. But tis the season for the GAA so, like the Kerry half forwards next Sunday, I'm up for a bit of backtracking, as needs must.

Let's hope that the referee has a good game. We all expect a great final, and it would be a sickner if it all goes a bit Premiership.
