Most anti climatic hurling final celebrations ever

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Just seeing this thread now. I thought it was very sad to see the ground empty and the players doing a lap of honour to a handful of supporters. This is supposed to be the pinnacle of the sport of hurling and instead it looked like not many really cared too much.

Definately sounds like sour grapes to me.I didnt see this "incident" with M Fennelly and J Canning, but what i can say is that M Fennelly is a clean hurler. If it happened it was out of character and more than likely reactionary.I never saw him pull a dirty stroke.Tough, but fair.Like all Kilkenny hurlers.B Cody wudnt put up with a "scamp"on his panel i'd imagine.Kilkenny have been on the receiving end of a few wild pulls themselves over the years.Benny Dunne(stupid),P Maher(reckless) and TJ Reid badly injured v Galway.I dont hear much complaining Noreside.Things happen in the white heat of battle.Move on lads.

I only post what i think barnowl. Why would i do otherwise?Whether its right or wrong,i call it as i see it.The moaning going on here about how Kilkenny don't celebrate satisfactorily is pathetic.

Let them celebrate how they want. If there fans don't want to stay and watch a cup presentation so be it. The day will come soon when another team wins it and the place goes mental.
There's nothing in the terms and conditions of attending a match to state you have to stay behind for the cup presentation.
I work with Kilkenny lads here in Limerick and they are fairly muted at present. Very different to 2009 , 2011 & 2014 I can tell ya.There has hardly been a mention of the final. If that's how they feel about winning that's their own issue. You'll still get great crowds in Nowlan Park next spring and quite frankly I am looking forward to the Tipp v KK game there and I'd say KK lads are the same.
