GAA Disciplinary Procedures - A Complete Joke

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

This is so wrong. Just when a stern hand should be laid down for all the off the ball fouling, the feigning of injury, the diving, the indiscipline of players towards each other and match officials, a red card gets rescinded, again. So many questions, the media dictating mind sets regarding gamesmanship (which is a fancy name for cheating) and decision making. I am a life long GAA supporter. If we do not right the ship soon, supporters will rightfully stop attending the matches. Get back to proper behaviour & sportsmanship quickly. If not, I say ta-ta to my second favorite field game. God bless hurling, for now, at least!!!!!!

This is insane, I am not anti Dublin but the powers that be said Connolly was allowed to tear up the red card because he acted in self defense? You must be feckin' kidding me. Every physical strike to an opponent in Gaelic football match is either a response or an initial act. So, if I am reading into this correctly, 'you can strike an opponent, as long as it is in self defense' !!! A punch, is a punch!!!

Disgraceful and a total insult to referees as well, why have an officiator at all? Just build a coliseum like the Romans did and let the players have at it. No sport in that at all.
