Well don't want to mention specifics but they just think he is a spoofer who shouldn't be in charge of senior team. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 15/08/2015 19:56:44 1770755 Link 0 |

Royaldunne. Thats absolute nonsense you're spouting. If our best players like Bryan Menton, Donal Keoghan, Graham Reilly, Micky Newman, Stephen Bray etc. all row in behind MOD, why would a talented club player with half a shot at a panel place reckon he's too good to play for the Meath senior team under MOD? Who do they think they are to refuse a Meath jersey? We could do without big time charlies like that to be honest, who only play by their terms. The proof is in the pudding. Lets see if there are any contenders for the Meath team and look out for standout performances in the championships. North Meath clubs in particular. And then see how Meath get on next year in the championship if these lads aren't selected. The talent is there if you look hard enough but Mick will not look beyond anyone over the age of 25 for promotion to county football. Rules out the possibility of unearthing a gem. Hannigan and Melia? I don't think so to be honest.Young has been roasted whenever he has played corner back for Meath. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 28/08/2015 14:16:14 1777506 Link 0 |
Great, another forum for people to suggest average players from their own clubs who should be on the county panel, same teams occurring every time, It's quality we need, not promotions for big clubs Watch_The_Post (Australia) - Posts: 14 - 28/08/2015 14:38:43 1777533 Link 0 |
i agree bobby o brien is known for throwing his toys out of the pram when things dont go his way on the field, if this can be managed he should surely be on the panel. domeanne (Meath) - Posts: 106 - 30/08/2015 10:34:24 1777879 Link 0 |

micho81- most of the players you list are very average even with their own clubs and many have been substituted in championship matches-fact browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 30/08/2015 13:51:07 1777936 Link 0 |

Ziggy. He hasn't got the support of about 30% of the players, and i am hearing a fair few lads either wont make themselves available or have decided to call it a day . royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 30/08/2015 19:45:16 1778297 Link 0 |
Christ above if there's 30% of the panel not going back the CB is once more in reactive mode and burying the heads in the sand. Surely the players should have had some input into whats going. If Stephen bray (and maybe he's retiring anyway) isn't getting involved then the county board needs to start asking questions. brian (Meath) - Posts: 1993 - 31/08/2015 08:25:32 1778459 Link 0 |
