Here are some players who I thought stood out in championship this year not on panel. tackleberry (Meath) - Posts: 324 - 27/10/2015 11:00:42 1802157 Link 0 |
That's a solid few players Tackle, fair play to you. brian (Meath) - Posts: 1993 - 27/10/2015 11:31:52 1802181 Link 0 |
I think our biggest priority has to be to find a corner back or two. We cant keep taking wing half backs (or even wing-half forwards!) and trying to make corner backs out of them. I know that football has changed in recent years and county corner backs are expected to push forward and even get an odd score. But first of all they have to be defenders, and I reckon we need a good old-fashioned tight-to-the man corner back. Plus a spare one for when he gets injured/suspended/sick of MOD so he decides to quit. anfearbeag (Meath) - Posts: 1134 - 27/10/2015 12:04:40 1802207 Link 0 |
Mickey Burke is only 29, why is everyone assuming he will be unavailable.? RedMeath12 (Meath) - Posts: 117 - 27/10/2015 12:05:38 1802208 Link 0 |
Because someone on the internet said so, and if someone on the internet says so then it must be true!! anfearbeag (Meath) - Posts: 1134 - 27/10/2015 12:32:32 1802224 Link 0 |
Firstly Mickey Burke is staying on for next year. jackhackett (Meath) - Posts: 773 - 27/10/2015 12:50:30 1802232 Link 0 |
What about Sean Curran from Donaghmore-Ashbourne. He was on the panel and played a few league matches in 2014. Could be an addition to the full back line or half back line. subzero (Meath) - Posts: 69 - 27/10/2015 13:01:07 1802236 Link 0 |

tackleberry- you obviously see few club matches!! some of the players you have included are not even the best in their positions within their own clubs. Other guys posting about players from junior teams just because the play a good match or two. Are we picking for the Meath Junior team next year? The senior team needs a whole new HB line if we are to progress made up of at least two players who can defend. browncows (Meath) - Posts: 2342 - 27/10/2015 13:50:52 1802266 Link 0 |

Told by a lad at the club that the player in question was promised a run out against Carlow a few seasons ago,and he didn't get it despite been miles ahead.Hard to see how he may join up with MOD at this stage, but would love if they could meant a few bridges so to speak. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 28/10/2015 11:00:03 1802548 Link 0 |
