I'm genuinely surprised at the reaction from Cork people to Donal Og Cusack's comments and attack on the Cork County Board. It's as if they didn't realise how far Cork had slipped and are now so happy that Cusack should highlight it. Certainly the hurling folk that I mix with have been discussing the Cork hurling demise as far back as 2007. Surely their absence from finals at schools, minor under21, club etc should have rang alarm bells years ago. It seems that Cusack is happy that the wheels have finally ground to a halt in order to justify his antics over the years. What exactly has he been doing to rectify the slump at club and underage levels? We can all talk about matters but we ought to get stuck and help out. westisthebest (Galway) - Posts: 444 - 27/07/2015 15:39:28 1759795 Link 0 |
illusioist i agree cork may have similar type of hurlers in the team and also i agree we need to vairy things ie different type of player.A player who can win dirty ball a playmaker a goalscorer and so on but i apoligise for been repeteive but the six guys i named earlier horgan and lehane been two are the players the team need to be built around.none of us are getting younger but the nuculeus of the team is young.Tactics have got to be executed right.illusionist there is a lot of people to blame but both horgan and lehane can go away and say iv done my bit, lehane has had a good tournament since hoggy has come into the team in 08 i think he has done nothing wrong for me imo monkstownrebel1 (Cork) - Posts: 353 - 27/07/2015 16:29:55 1759849 Link 0 |
Well i didnt see that coming that was a bigger shock than douglas beating tyson.firstly well done galway but i dont buy it we just didnt turn up and galway totally played above themselves,Also am i the only one who seen shane o neil fouled for the first goal? and that set the tone,i wouldnt mind see galway win it now but as i said i really felt they played above themselves and deep down most of there fans are thinking that to,as for ourselves we go back to the drawing board a few of the guys yesterday wont be wearing a cork shirt again but jimmy knows this and will make the approiate changes im sure.on a side note i find it amusing that certain posters bring up about my tipping you would swear these guys are pro punters they way they talk there always tipping winners still carry on lads, again good luck to galway for rest of tournament blackrockeddie (Cork) - Posts: 160 - 27/07/2015 16:59:00 1759876 Link 0 |

Stay classy there Eddie. The worst of your postings is I can't decide if you're delusional, or just a WUM. The fact that Galway managed to win while still hitting over 20 wides puts paid to your notion that they played above themselves. festinog (Galway) - Posts: 3150 - 27/07/2015 19:05:55 1759966 Link 0 |
