Not great to see the Mayo lads here clearly not that confident in what should be a straight-forward enough win for them. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't at least 9 points between the teams by the end with Mayo goals making all the difference.

Would really enjoy Sligo beating mayo. Serious lack of respect shown to Sligo team. Fed up with mayo attitude. Granted Sligo have to prove themselves on the field but win or lose to mayo, Sligo team deserve respect. Mayo beat us, no problem... Mayo lose to us, no problem... A bit of respect appreciated... Fact is Caff IS a good footballer but Keane ruffled up Donaghy more than Caff would ever dream of doing. Its not in Caffs nature to play that way so why did Horan pick him?

To blame the ref for the result in Limerick last year is ridiculous, yes he made strange decisions but Kerry 'played' the ref better than we did.

The drawn semi is the one I have problems with. When Donaghy came on Horan should have immediately dropped back an extra defender. Horan in that instance failed to do his job. Now you might argue that hindsight is fantastic, but he also didn't protect the fullback line for the first 10-15 mins in AI final v Donegal when the game was effectively decided.

Dwelling in the past and on past defeats does no-one any good but there are lessons to be learned from history- TWO ALL IRELAND DEFEATS TO KERRY, BOTH GAMES OVER AFTER 10-15 MINS. Horan was a good manager but could have done better.

As regards sunday? hope its a good game. Mayo win.

Id be very suprised if a Sligo man wouldnt enjoy Sligo beating Mayo. Im not quite sure what Mayo attitude you are fed up with? This is a Division 1 team who have been to two All Ireland Semi Finals and two All Ireland Finals in the last 4 seasons playing a Division 3 team. I do not think it unreasonable that we should be fully confident of beating Sligo with minimum fuss. That is not disrespectful, that is just an acknowledgment of realities of the situation. Besides that, most of the discussion seems to have centered around the abilities of some of the Mayo footballers ahead of a Connacht Final with examples from games in the latter stages of recent seasons being used. What is disrespectful to Sligo there? Another poster from Cavan stated that you would swear that there was only one team in the Connacht Final to which a Sligo poster concurred, yet neither seemed to add anything to the discussion. Most fans tend to focus on their own team in my experience. There is nothing stopping Sligo people, or people from other counties, discussing the match from a Sligo point of view.

Hopefully the Mayo team will show Sligo the ultimate respect by being really geed up for this, come out all guns blazing and inflict a thumping

Delighted with the win. 5 in a row Connacht's is great, but much bigger games ahead. I think we answered the question today "Have Mayo gone backwards?" no way. Still issues in the full back line but sure that's for another day. Aidan O Se is a monster, what a player. Felt sorry for Sligo, chin up Sligo fans, we know only too well ourselves what it is like to get hammered in a big game.
