Didn't they scrap the 1b/2a play off this year?

Doyler, I'm only going on what I've read in the newspaper today. In the preview in the I.T. of the Westmeath vs Carlow game it says: "The winners will be in the (Div 2) final with a chance of proceeding to take on the losers of Laois--Antrim in the promotion/relegation play off".
I hope you are right and that there is automattic promotion from Div 2 but I would also wish that there were 7 teams in Div 1B next year.

well no matter what happens or who does or does not get relegated the GAA are going to be accused of destroying hurling somewhere or another.

From what I read on here, I think that playoff is being scrapped next year.
