well i put it as simple as this.brogan is a premier league forward who competes in the champions league every year whilst the others are languishing between the championship and the vauxhall conference.

1.lovely footballer (hate to say),no ability to handle pressure.best days are behind him. 7/10
2.class act,very accurate,deceptively good for his size.seems very dedicated. 8/10
3.great pace,very good.stands out in poor company. 8/10
4.has impressed but let himself down lately.dont know much else.7/10
5.dont know much about him but think he is a great talent, extremly accurate.9/10

third tier forwards i think

1 Tommy McGuigan 2 Alan Brogan 3 Dessie Dolan 4 Conor Mortimer 5 James Masters

mcguigan by far is number one and there's very little between the other four as none of them are fully consistent . depends on the day!

If James Masters is the best of the bunch Cork must be some team as he is not first choice mith them

This is a hard one to rate because all the above players get a good supply of ball from the midfield bar Mortimer(he gets shocking ball into him) but this would be mine;

1.Masters 2.Brogan 3.Dolan 4.Mortimer 5.McGuigan

Dessie Dolan - Overrated in my opinion. Has bottled it a few times on the big occasion. Only a second tier forward.
Conor Mortimer - Probably gets a bit of unfair stick. At his best is a pretty accurate forward but still not quite in the very top class.
Alan Brogan - Very talented and capable of doing alot of damage when he's in the mood but can be a bit greedy and needs to bring other players into the game rather than going for his own score the whole time. Bernard will be a better player.
Tommy McGuigan - Liking what I've seen from him so far, looks a good prospect.
James Masters - Very accurate and a bit unlucky not to be starting for Cork, might get his place back the next day.

There goes Daytona again!
Brogan gets to enjoy his team having complete domination out the field in the Leinster championship.
I think if Dolan was a dub he would do untold damage. Cullen is class tho

1. Brogan
2. Masters
3. McGuigan
4. Mortimer
5. Dolan

Brogan far and away the best of them. Masters when on form is class. McGuigan has potential and really impressed me against Dublin. Mortimer is always good for a few scores in a game and would make most 15's. Dolan.....probably the best natural forward of the five but is like a jigsaw. Falls to pieces under any pressure.

Brogan & Masters are a fair bit better than the other 3, any further analysis or "ranking" is merely arbritary.

Alan Brogan and Dessie Dolan are both fantastic footballers. Tommy McGuigan seems like he will become a great player but a bit early to say that he is a great player now. a definite all-star this year.

Masters and Mortimer are ok sometimes but just do not do it against Kerry. I do not rate them as top players

Didnt realise some posters were so unknowledgable. Not one of the other 4 are capable of scoring the points Masters can. Brogan is close to him cos he's a quality forward but a different player to Masters.
