No allstars but from the current Cavan panel I think Martin Reilly has possibly played in every line bar midfield. Mark McKeever has played a lot of football in both the backs and the forwards. Breffni40 (Cavan) - Posts: 12372 - 20/02/2015 11:02:35 1695239 Link 0 |

Ahh if we want to go down that road, paddy O'Rourke goalkeeper turned full forward back to goal keeper, and plays outfield for club. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 20/02/2015 17:28:52 1695368 Link 0 |
Again going down the goalie route, Darren Hughes was goalie for the county minors when he was 18, and even then he was only chosen because the no. 1 got injured and Darren was picked because he had a good kick out. Mad to think otherwise he wasn't selected outfield. You could literally put him in any position and he'd be one of our best performers, such a complete player. He's played from full-back to midfield and also in the forwards on occasion and of course he was goalie in our run to the Ulster final in 2010! patk (Monaghan) - Posts: 939 - 20/02/2015 18:12:38 1695378 Link 0 |
royaldunne, Big Joe went from being goalkeeper on All Ireland winning team to left corner on AI senior winning team. All within a year! Surely unique? hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 21/02/2015 10:05:38 1695432 Link 0 |
