We all know that Kerryshire has an incomparable record when it comes to winning All-Irelands. I'd just like to ask Hoganstanders who they believed was the shire's greatest. avonali (Dublin) - Posts: 1990 - 21/08/2014 11:28:29 1639797 Link 0 |

My favourite was The Horse. Himself and Hanahoe had some battles. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 21/08/2014 11:32:36 1639801 Link 0 |

I suppose its only right to comment on the ones you saw in person, and although I'm very grateful for fact I managed to see the likes of Spillane and Jacko play in person, it was only at the very twlight of their careers in 1992 against Clare. So I'm only going to consider Kerry players from around 1997 on: TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 21/08/2014 11:39:24 1639806 Link 0 |

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, Maurice Fitzgerald jumped straight to mind so I'll stick with the great man. Htaem (Meath) - Posts: 8657 - 21/08/2014 12:02:23 1639823 Link 0 |
In my time Jack O Shea was the most complete Kerry player I have seen followed very closely by Maurice Fitz. Greengrass (Louth) - Posts: 6178 - 21/08/2014 12:02:31 1639824 Link 0 |

Surprised you missed Kennelly Kerryrowz. He won tight dog rough games against Dubs, Roscommon, Cork, Offaly that you had no right to! Great player. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 21/08/2014 12:42:30 1639859 Link 0 |

Mick O'Connell was the greatest Kerry footballer, played in the crucial area of midfield. Mick O'Connell was the complete player,a brilliant fielder of the ball, his catching was superb, intelligent play and kick passing with pin point accuracy. unselfish and a true team player,he was pure class. Mick is the king of Gaelic Football. Ní bheidh a leithéid i bpáirch na himeartha arís. fainleog (Limerick) - Posts: 602 - 21/08/2014 13:02:48 1639877 Link 0 |
