Aidan O'Mahony

not getting involved with what card should have been given to Donnacha O'Connor but no doubt Aidan O'Mahony will be highly embarrased with what he did. that is not what Kerry GAA or GAA forthat matter is about. element of the foreign sports are creeping into our game over the past few years-diving, etc but this brings it to a new level. unlucky today though. they shouldn't have been near ye.

Gooch did it aswell when he gave miskella a close line. miskella got up and gave him a shoulder. goch went down like a sack of spuds. from reading the few posts that have been put up so far i think it is far to say that kerry didn't walk away from this game with any positive. their antics and cycnical, negitive tactics were there for all to see. nobody would dare speak of such things when it comes to kerry but ye have been doing it for years. ye are as bad as there is out there.

This year and this kerry team have become a bunch of drama queens and criers! to the refs and linesmen, this game was puke football at its best!Although fair play 2 Cork, they deserved the draw. Kerry should go back 2 what there good at, Football! And leave the acting behind!

My God, what a disgrace to the famed manly Kingdom football. O'Mahony should be ashamed of himself - acting like an oul woman.

It is now open to CCC to suspend him.

Hope he is.

I was at the game today and there was no way Cork deserved a draw.. they played awful football, struggled to score from play and overall were poor!!

This is not a shock, lately its been creeping into Kerrys game.. trying to get yer opponent sent off..sad really, Kerry always produced tough but fair players, but lately, some of the Kerry tactics just pure negative, and not winning many admirers, and taking away from the positive side of their play, OMahoney should feel ashamed, and embarrassed, this is Croke Park..not Hollywood!

Aidan O'Mahony should be ashamed on himself. His girlfriend would be able to give him a better slap. Referee should not have sent off Cork man. In fact he should have sent off O'Mahony for his antics. Having that said O'Mahony is one of the best footballers in the country. He doesn't need to do that sort of thing. Kerry were way better than Cork and will win the next day.

Let's call a spade a spade, O'Mahony's actions yesterday amount to clearcut CHEATING, nothing more nothing less. It was an act of blatant dishonesty which he should appologise for, but I expect we shouldn't hold our breath.

Omahony will have to live with that dive for the rest of his life. It was astonishing. Im sure there are fellow Kerry players on that team who are embarrassed by it. btw, if Kerryor Cork go into the final on that performance v Tyrone, they both would be 8points down by half time.

All the Kerrymen (and women) are gone into hiding!! There wasn't as good a dive seen in the diving competition in Beijing!!

Here one!!!
O Mahony was a disgrace yesterday by diving. But calls for him to be suspended are a bit over the top. Hopefully the CCCC will do the right thing and let Donnadh O Connor play next weekend.
Ye might not agree but it could be a sad ending for Daragh O Shea after having a long distingushed career. Top midfielder for last decade. What he did was stupid but that O Neill is just a pure windup merchant but O Shea showed have held his cool

I'm a bit bemused by all this fuss about O'Mahony and his dive. OK, he looked pathetic and it'd have been better if he hadn't done it. In fact, he deserves to be criticised but the reality is that players are doing everything they possible can to win. By gettting Cork's quota of players reduced to 14 O'Mahony was giving Kerry a better chance of a positive outcome to the game (although subsequent events blow that theory out of the window!). Players have always exagerated in order to gain an advantage, it could be a corner-back pulling a forwards jersey or the same forward pushing off a corner back just before the ball is directed in to him. Just because O'Mahony's behaviour looked a bit obvious there's a huge furore made about it. I think everyone here knows that O'Mahony's a pretty tough guy and I'd back him to put O'Connor in his place any day of the week. But by 'diving' he manipulated the referee in to sending O'Connor off and keeping himself on the field. If he'd clocked O'Connor there and then the most likely outcome would be a double sending off with an outside chance that he'd go on his own...he was smart and saw to it that O'Connor went while he continued. By the way, Kerry to win by 10 next time out.

Look for all ye ignorant people out there, Kerry will win the replay next Sunday. If kerry converted half of their poor wides(which is unsual for them and is something that wont happen again this season)they would have taken cork to the cleaners. It is unfortunate that cork football is in a stage of limbo, in that they will always reach the semi-final but will never progress past that stage. But that is the fact of the matter so people just need to deal with it. Tyrone could prove once again to be the team to unset Kerry and lets also face the fact that Dublin are in the same (if not worse) position as Cork.
