Two things learnt today. Corofin a different level to Castlebar last year and D Connolly remains one of the most inconsistent players in Ireland however he does look great when given the freedom of the field. Gaa_lover (USA) - Posts: 3609 - 14/02/2015 20:53:21 1693576 Link 0 |
Corofin were the better team, they defended very well and hav good fast forwards and they are goid kick passers..croke park will suit them..as to the conment abou vincents adv in size population corofin is a huge area and have a very big pick of players tommy132 (Mayo) - Posts: 638 - 14/02/2015 20:56:24 1693578 Link 0 |

Know a lad who plays on Vincent's second team, he told me there is 40 players on the 1st team panel who do not play for the second team so they do have an advantage in their playing population over most teams. But there are also some big towns in Ireland with only one club team like Castlebar and Portlaois. I would also say clubs like Vincents have superior Finances and would be on a par with county teams like Leitrim as would all big club teams in Dublin. That been said Vincent's played great football the last few years and deserved all their success. ballaghmen (Mayo) - Posts: 318 - 15/02/2015 14:14:47 1693664 Link 0 |

Gaa lover if he scored for fun against laois Wexford Meath and didn't score against Donegal you'd still be having a go , the man scored 4 of the best points you'll ever see in Croke Park last summer against the meanest defence in Gaa history give the man a break. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 15/02/2015 17:38:17 1693751 Link 0 |

Well done Slaughtneil who were playing against Stacks and the officials at times. Also well done to O'Donovan Rossa of Belfast who won the All Ireland Intermediatehurling title against Kilburn in Croke Park. Great boost for the GAA in Belfast.
