Dessie has become a better player of late with his attacking style out of defence and you have to credit o rourke for allowing him the freedom to use his speed and skill.

Rua Dessie Mone is a better player than Karl Lacey. Right now he is having a bigger influence on more matches than Karl Lacey. I can't say whether or not he is as good now as Karl Lacey was at his peak. Karl Lacey is not the player he was two years ago.

I'm obviously a big fan of Dessie. He's been an excellent player for us 10 years. But this post is a little premature from a Monaghan perspective in my opinion. I'd love to see Dessie win a well-deserved All-Star but everybody knows these awards are never won until at least the quarter-final stage, especially when a team hasn't won their provincial title.
