Its a bit rich of Duffy dumping it on DCC (who have nothing to do with democracy - no more than the GAA). The GAA gave its WORD as part of a 2009 agreement with residents that there would be only 3 concerts (already used up before they applied for 5 more). The GAA broke that agreement. In Feb after a meeting with residents over the Garth Brooks concerts Peter McKenna said of the 2009 written agreement...that it was to be ignored because "time moves on" his words. DCC just realised the issue was going to the "real "courts and they hadn't a leg to stand on, the game was up. As Snuff has repeatedly said people are entitled to use the law to uphold their rights. Duffy/McKenna and Co have to be reminded that a fundamental part of any agreement is your word, so shame on the GAA. The disconnect between GAA HQ and the actual members is now quite frightening. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4953 - 16/07/2014 21:15:02 1620426 Link 0 |
