Tipp have benefited from avoiding Kerry in a quarter-final for once.

Great performance from Tipperary, no one will want to face them in the next round.

The old structure wasn't doing Tipp any good. Going out to Kerry in a quarter-final and then a long gap to their qualifier. Situations like that were an influence behind the now A and B sides of the qualifiers. I would think any of the 4 counties that are next to make a Munster final, would have more respect and support of their own people if they get to the final beating one of the seeded finalists from the previous year. They could then enjoy seeded status themselves at the very least and use it as a platform.

I think you're right. I say keep allowing Cork and Kerry in the semi finals allow the other four sides play off and then have an open draw. Tipp have definitely built a bit of momentum now with 3 good performances coming on the back of winning the League.
