Mes yep. Nothing to loose, after all they will be completely written off so with no expectations they will go into it very relaxed

I didn't say they wouldn't and as players you should go into every game to win,but as a fan you can step back and have common sense.Anyway Kildare and Meath have enough to worry about before Dublin..

As a gesture of goodwill towards our Meath neighbours, and in response to the GAA decision that all ball boys come from neutral counties, I would suggest that the losing team supply the ball boys for the Leinster final. We could even have a trial run with Kildare and Meath ball boys for the Dublin Wexford game.

I think we will beat Meath with a bit to spare. I'm not being cockey I just think with you midfielder missing it could swing things. As bad as Louth are they are a lot better than Carlow and our win over them can't be compared to Meaths nothing win over Carlow. Then again, I also think the pick of Meath and Kildare wouldn't beat the Dubs.

Hear hear jimbo, it really is as simple that, we don't have the players to beat Kildare and therefore we won't. It should be interesting to see how Kildare get on against the Dubs in the Leinster final this year though, they're 5 years waiting now so they should savour the opportunity instead of being negative about it.

I feel that the game will be very close right until the end. I don't see either set of supporters being able to relax one way or another until the final whistle.

Htaem,

I call it being realistic. I llok forward to the Leinster final against the Dubs but there wouldn't be a lot of expectation on the team like there was under that other lad who use to manage us.

Don't know about your logic there our midfield can cope with Meade, O'Rourke, Menton or Tormey it's the loss of Wallace, Dalton etc that worries me more as we miss the pace and penetration they offered, still though I am quietly optimistic and wouldn't be so sure about how much better Louth are than Carlow, even the most loyal of "Wee" supporter has bemoaned his backwards they have gone in the last 12 to 18 months and given what I saw in Croke Park that day against Kildare I think Carlow and Louth would be a pretty even contest

richieg, I agree there regarding your midfield. It's the question mark over our own as we haven't had a settled midfield partnership in the last couple of years.

That Carlow game will have done absolutely nothing for Meath... NOTHING.

Awful preparation going into such a high profile grudge game...

Dub U-21's hammered Carlow off the pitch and then lost to Longford in the next game...

Kildare have had a very good victory against a fancied enough Louth team in Croke Park

I have no doubt that Kildare will come in with more in the legs and and at this time of year that's quite valuable... they have that advantage over Meath, and really with Kildare's recent record against Meath, they also have the mental fortitude and have little fear of a very average Meath team who are also missing key players.

Kildare have already put a supposed high flying Meath team to the sword this year...

Jason Ryan is a more experienced manager than MOD and IMO a better manager

Yep.. Kildare will win this game and MOD will start to come under the spot light soon after...

Is this not the Same Jimbodub in 2012 predicted Meath would beat kildare and when they did "actual beat kidare' came on here and said that you were really joking and could not beleive it happen?

No need to answer Bull Sh@t does not appeal to me!

Interesting match which Gillespie's injury might just swing in Kildare's favour.

Neither had a good National League & will want to find some form otherwise a fearful fate awaits them in the shape of Dublin.

In fairness MuckrossHead, if it hadn't been for the injury time melt down against Tyrone, prior to which Kildare had outplayed Tyrone, Kildare wouls have retained Div one status and in relation to yourselves had Meath won they probably would have been promoted.

But surely less expectations will help you's against the Dubs, I'm not getting into a McGeeney v Ryan debate but with Ryan I think you's have a reasonably good chance of turning over the Dubs in the final but a bit of belief would go a long way to, nobody is unbeatable.

Eh Meath finished 3rd and but for a dubious free in Ballybofey would have beaten Donegal and got promoted ahead of ye, I don't think that constitutes a bad National League in fairness.
