Here lads you got to remember tyrone having have been doing the same thing to teams for over
a decade , they did it to Monaghan in last years Q/F to see out the game so dont be complaining
when the shoe is on the other foot. And in fairness dublin mayo donegal and kerry have all it in
the past least we forget, so games over grow a new pair and get ready for the next game.

It's never ok no matter who does it. I said as much earlier in relation to Sean Cavs tackle on Clerkin near the end,he should probably have gotten a black card for it. Kinsella probably felt bad for him since he was being hauled down at every opportunity! Time wasting by Monaghan and poor officiating certainly was evident in this game. The time keeping needs to go with another official and the ref needs to concentrate at keeping the game flowing as much as possible.

I cant understand the criticism of the ref today. He got most of it right. I would say that at the very end, there could have been more injury time, and should have been but he was prob so tired of flashing black cards he wanted to get off the pitch as soon as the 2 mins were up. There should have been at least 5 minutes, but I think that that decision is made out of his control??

As for monaghan poster saying the ref gave tyrone everything after monaghan scored the goal, it did not look like it from watching the game on tv.

There is only so much a ref can do to control a game and keep it moving, the rest is up to the attitude of the players, and the reality is that the stakes are so high, players will do anything to gain an advantage, even if it is beyond the rules. Therein lies the difficulty.

Lads on balance the ref did ok today.
The only gripe Tyrone may have is the added time at the end.
But all in all I thought he did well.
The black card is not good for Ulster football unfortunately.

From the refereeing we have seen to date, Kinsella wasn't the worst in fairness.

You seem to be a no nonsense sort

Now that the game is over and the hoodoo is gone, would it be possible to ask a question about the Tyrone team without sounding as if I,m having a go
It seems to me that there is an element in Tyrone that thinks they were hard done by including M Harte, when the truth is that they were beaten by a better team
Both Hughes and Mc Manus were injured for the entire second half dont forget. Anyway would you not be worried that instead of admitting he was beaten by a better team M Harte will go on a crusade with a team depending on older players that are past it. S O Neill made Drew Wylie look like a cross between Mick Lyons and your own great Cormac Mc Anallan RIP.
What happens when O Neill, Gormley, Mc Mahon and the two Cavanaghs retire en masse probably at the end of the season.
The question is if Tyrone are not to win SAM this year (and thats all they can win) would you not be better building for the future never mind living in the past? Home game against Louth a perfect opportunity (no offence meant to Louth its just about team building)
I cant figure out why Coney is not nailed in a 11 or 14

I've never seen Harte so mad. Usually he's pretty stoic after Tyrone defeats.

I'd like to think anyone from Tyrone who's complaining about the added time would also admit that Monaghan deserved their win. Tyrone would've been very fortunate to get a draw out of that match.

Would the Tyrone posters agree that you really only have one stand out player in Sean Cavanaug?
Without him you look pretty ordinary no offence intended.

Have to agree in some ways with mhunicean_abu about Harte depending too much on the older lads. I posted here a couple of days ago showing my surprise at O'Neill being selected and being happy at that, and that proved right as Wylie completely dominated him start to finish. Tyrone need to look to the future and pick the younger lads.

He certainly didn't stand out today.

Personally, I'd say that Tyrone's best player, in just about any position that you care to play him, is Mattie Donnelly.

Have to laugh at the Monaghan lads worrying about where Tyrone go from here with there over the hill squad.
My advice would be forget Tyrone and start worrying about Armagh. No trophies are handed out in June. Today will mean nothing if Monaghan don't deliver back to back Ulsters.

As for the prophecy that Tyrone won't win Sam this year well even the most ardent Tyrone fan might concede that.
However without any shadow of a doubt Tyrone will win Sam again long before Monaghan lift him.

As for Stephen O Neill he owes no one anything and he'll be remembered long after Wiley.

Rant over.

We'll done to Monaghan today.
