but the only advantage is mental that you have described its quite esy to change that from any countys perspective if you have a team focused properaly and there are differant things in training you can do to combat mental problems for young guys
Exact my point young man so yes the dubs are been awarded the big advantage thank you for proving mypoint. the only game that can compare to playing in CP is the munster hurling final
only 5 counties in my opinion have the edge for CP and that is dubs, mayo, cork, tyrone and Kerry
read above for the league results who they have lost to away from home derry, down, Donegal and 5 pt wins away to Westmeath and laois
I rest my case

You's can all whinge, and blab until your cattle come home...
It's down to your own county boards that Dublin ere not sent on the road
Dublin fans will always stand on Hill 16 and our team warms up in front of us
This has been the case for quite a long time... it was also the case when we got a fair few hammerings
It will remain that way forever... perhaps plan accordingly

1585721 There is a section of the ground dolled off especially for Dublin fans. Treatment like this is not afforded to any other county.
What section?
Anyone regardless of county can get tickets to any section in the ground.

MesAmis what are you talking about? There are far more Hill16 tickets allocated to Dublin than to opposition teams.
There's also an option of a Hill16 season ticket for Dublin supporters. Does that option exist for other counties?
Also Dublin players warm up in front of the Hill. Why is this warm-up always reserved for them?

fkm - Dublin drew with Donegal last year. Been a good few years since we've been beaten by Donegal.

a few of the dubs here are getting like cornered rats. read the topic heading the Dublin croke park advantage ?
it does not read Dublin should not be let play un croke park
calm down precious we are only stating the fact they are not as good outside of CP simple as.
fact is I love them playing there as the atmosphere is always great and the banter with the supporters are always great.
no one is doubting the current dub squad is the envy of every county and ye have it through true hard work inyer county hats off to ye.
now repeat after me the dubs are not as good out side CP.
good little jackeens ha ha

If you want a ticket for the Hill for a Dublin Meath match then you are perfectly entitled to apply for one through your club and county board. The exact same option for you as there is for Dublin GAA members.
You could alternatively use ticketmaster or tickets.ie which to the best of my knowledge are not known to discriminate against non Dublin purchasers of Hill tickets.
I really thought Mayo supporters had blown this particular myth outta the water. They went and got Hill tickets rather than sit around and complain about not getting Hill tickets.
If yous want Hill tickets it is up to yous to get them! That's what Dublin clubs/supporters do.

Your own CB's had the opportunity = 2 votes
End result = Dublin stay in Croke Park for early Leinster Championship game in 2014
That's really all that matters

you fail to point out the three games dublin played away this year in two of them they lined out about 5 or 6 of last years first 20 them days only the tyrone game sure we were well up after only 15 minutes hardly say tyrone had an advantage of being at home seen as dublin didnt need anytime to climatise with the healy park surroundings as 3 goals in 15 minutes says enough. the games at home in croker 1 point win over kerry 2 point loss to cork last gasp draw with mayo good win over kildare contrast that with away from home 4 point win 6 point loss 1 point win hardly much of a differance in where the games were played when you look at them scores.
also you never mentioned championship form over the last 40 years I think we have only been beaten once outside croke park in the leinster championship along time ago where as westmeath, meath, laois have all beaten us in croke park in leinster quarters or semi finals in the last 10 years

I didnt prove anything of your point I only proved that other teams cant get their heads focused then thats their own problem their is no physical advantage of dublin playing in croke park thats exactly what I proved the more they keep concentrating on croke park the more of a mind problem it becomes where as cork couldnt wait to play dublin in both games in croker and had all young or new players lining out in them games and won the first game and were 10 points up in the second game so was hardly a croke park advantage to dublin in them games by the way we didnt lose to donegal we played a dead rubber for us and must win for them and drew with them thus relegating them 5 point wins away to laois and westmeath are 2points the same as they would be in croke park I dont get the point as dublin played a lot of panel players only in both them games

Last years All Ireland Final, far more Mayo fans in the ground. Mayo outnumbering Dublin fans on the hill. A mafia-esque ticket allocation operation.
Country all behind Mayo.....
Dublin won!

They are allowed use the same dressing rooms and warm up in the same area as well.
----- Incorrect on having one end of the ground allocated exclusively to Dublin fans. Did you not see last year's AI final? If other counties choose to forego their terrace tkt allocation for the big games then that is their fault l, not the GAAs and not Dublin's. Look at any Cork match in Cork and I guarantee you that one end will have a sea of red jerseys.
On the same dressing room, I could just imagine Colm ORourke, Brian Stafford, Colm Coyle and Mick Lyons using this excuse to Sean Boylan in their day. If you are good enough you are good enough. The big players relish the chance of playing big games on the big stage in HQ.

1585717 dubs away from home form in the league
Westmeath 1-7 dubs 0-14 - no disrespect to WM but this would be a way different score line in CP derry 1-16 dubs 0-13 - I should say no more tyrone 1-15 dubs 3-10 - good win away to a very good team would expect a dubs win in CP tho margin could be up to 7-10 points tho Kildare 2-7 dubs 2-20 - I shoot myself in the foot Kerry 0-4 dubs 1-11 - shoot the other foot Donegal beat the dubs I think can't find the score not sure did they play 3 or 4 away games last year laois 1-9 dubs 1-14 - like I said about the Westmeath game above down 0-15 dubs 1-10 - make up yer own minds on this mayo 0-20 dubs 0-8 - I think ballboy was corner forward that day cork 1-12 dubs 0-12 - twas a great cork team tho
so their last 10 away league games they have won 5 and lost 5 they only beat Westmeath and laois by 5 points away I would think that would have been a different story in CP.
so yes getting all their home game in the league and all championship games in CP does give a massive advantage when playing there.
numbers and stats don't lie my friends ------ How many of those away games did Dublin have to win and field a decent strength side? We had experimental sides out against both Cork and Derry. We won in Tyrone because we had to. We drew against Donegal with nothing to play for when they had everything to play for. Dublin relegated them.
I was down in Castlebar for that Mayo hammering. No excuses there. Mayo were superb and Dublin were terrible but I was down there the year before when we beat them on a beach pitch.
I would guess that if those matches had been knockouts for Sam then we would have seen some different results. And championship is the main concern here right as Dublin play away in the league, 66% win rate away in the league this year. The stats don't lie.
