Many greats down the years, Jimmy Keaveny of Vincents was one with 2-6 against Armagh in 1977, amongst many outstanding performances for Vincents and Dublin. Long way for DC to go before he can be mentioned in the same class. moylagh (Meath) - Posts: 486 - 18/03/2014 14:37:57 1561550 Link 0 |

Are you having a giggle Kingdomboy? He's our most naturally gifted footballer. As naturally gifted as they come in fact. Jackeen (Dublin) - Posts: 4097 - 18/03/2014 14:54:57 1561564 Link 0 |

Great performance but great performance in a club game ultimately. Not at the higest level of the game. Marooned (Galway) - Posts: 2387 - 18/03/2014 15:44:17 1561603 Link 0 |

Bernard Brogan is Dublins most valuable forward. The one thing that can be said of Diarmuid Connolly is that he is a natural footballer and his display yesterday illustrated same. fainleog (Limerick) - Posts: 602 - 18/03/2014 15:56:51 1561613 Link 0 |

Connolly was superb today. However he is very much a confidence player. If he scores from his first attempt he usually has a very good game, whereas if he misses his first, he sometimes tends to struggle. He is becoming more consistent though. He was excellent but that's a county player vs club players. Has to do it in the blue of Dublin to b even considered! Brolly (Monaghan) - Posts: 4472 - 18/03/2014 16:30:53 1561641 Link 0 |
James O Donoghue looks a good player alrite.hed certainly be pushing for a start on dublin team but not sure who hed replace.maybe an impact sub off the bench if we needed a goal or something. cuederocket (Dublin) - Posts: 5084 - 18/03/2014 18:25:47 1561729 Link 0 |

Connollys performance was the greatest individual performance i've seen in Croke Park. It was a majestic performance from CHF. Funnily enough i thought some of his cross field passes to open up goal chances were the best of his feats but strangely that seems to be overlooked around here. I'd rather not go down the road of calling it the greatest performance ever, but i'm very comfortable saying it was the best i've seen, and it was a privilege to be there. seany16 (Dublin) - Posts: 1663 - 18/03/2014 19:25:14 1561771 Link 0 |
Unlike Diarmuid Connolly, James O'Donoghue cant do this: Snufalufagus (Dublin) - Posts: 8100 - 18/03/2014 20:14:32 1561793 Link 0 |

Jaysus there is some silly comparisons being made here! Any team would give anything to have a Connolly or a Donoghue and any team that had Gooch, Bernard, Dermie, O'Donoghue would be nigh on unbeatable. Lets be happy Kerry and Dubs chaps that we have them and have had the pleasure of watching them and hopefully will see the Gooch again in full flight. hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 18/03/2014 20:50:36 1561818 Link 0 |
