Personally think Shane O'Donnell's (made his senior debut for Clare in last years all ireland final replay and scored a hat trick) performance was better, Okay it probably wasnt as near complete as Connolly's today, But the fact that game was his debut, As a 19 year old too, To come in and score a hattrick of goals which effectively won Clare their first All Ireland title for the first time since 1997 automatically makes it a better performance in a bigger game (arguably).

I could never understand why Dublin persisted with Diarmuid Connolly with all his disciplinary problems. Watching his display today, I fully understood why. He won it for Vincents.

Heard a good description today - it didn't just look like a top intercounty player playing at club level, it looked like a top intercounty player playing against kids in a park. He was unreal today. You don't know what Dermo you'll get some days but he was unplayable today.

To be fair gooch was eulogised after last years semi final.i dont think it was nearly as good as connollys today
If dat was gooch today the whole country wud be raving about it.a masterclass from irelands most naturally talented footballer.we all know in dublin wat hes capable of sobnow the rest of the country do too.bravo connolly ya boya.take a bow son.

Wayno,Shane O Donnell didn't make his debut in the final last year. As far as I know he played,and scored a goal V Wexford in the qualifiers. As for the man asking who Dermot Connolly was,I think he was probably getting at that it's Diarmuid Connolly!!
