Can those who picked Offaly to beat limerick please explain the logic to me? disillusiondfan (Limerick) - Posts: 4279 - 12/03/2014 16:08:43 1558819 Link 0 |
Df I take it your talking about me I just have a feeling Offaly might sneak this as Limerick performance have not being great so far. I expected Limerick to be putting massive scores in 1b and by all accounts should of being beaten last week, Offaly will be fighting for their lives this Sunday so it's nothing against limerick before you go off on one. therealtmo (Tipperary) - Posts: 1292 - 12/03/2014 16:20:45 1558825 Link 0 |
You not the only one realtmo. Im not one for going off on one by and large. Limerick were dire last sunday and for 50 mins or so were little better against Antrim. To be fair though with Na Piarsaigh players resting and with giving new lads a run we have been unsettled. We will be getting better from here on. To go to Cork and play for 45 mins with 14 men and come away with a draw is result of the league so far. Ill do a deal with you if you like. Give you a 3 point gap so if limerick don't beat offaly by more than 3 points I will give 200 to a charity of your choice. If they don't will you give 50 to Barnardos ? disillusiondfan (Limerick) - Posts: 4279 - 12/03/2014 18:15:44 1558886 Link 0 |
Offaly are due for a BIG win as it's been a while since they beat a team they weren't supposed to beat. I fancy Limerick but if Offaly won it wouldn't shock me at all. WoodlawnPat (Galway) - Posts: 288 - 12/03/2014 18:17:13 1558887 Link 0 |
I thought this was a prediction forum wit no debates. People r entitled to choose whom they want even if they predict Kilkenny wud beat Dublin in football. Let's stick to d point of d post ere plenty of other forums for debate. WildPundit (Tipperary) - Posts: 1709 - 12/03/2014 18:53:53 1558900 Link 0 |
Asked for the logic wild pundit. Not debating anything. Now offering a charitable donation if I am taken up it will be good for charity. disillusiondfan (Limerick) - Posts: 4279 - 12/03/2014 19:09:45 1558906 Link 0 |
Second that WildPundit. Don't remember the bookie asking me to explain my choice last time I was in for a flutter :-) Offside_Rule (Antrim) - Posts: 4058 - 12/03/2014 20:17:16 1558948 Link 0 |
Jesus lads is it a crime to ask why some posters predict a loss for a team who are unbeaten ( while admittedly playing poorly) against a team that has lost every game so far? disillusiondfan (Limerick) - Posts: 4279 - 12/03/2014 20:30:18 1558963 Link 0 |

Have to disagree Hoover. Both teams were sub par mainly due to conditions and us missing about 10 starters. Limerick were very much in danger. We had far more chances and with a little more experience or killer instinct you'd have been well beaten. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3701 - 13/03/2014 15:09:37 1559254 Link 0 |
Don't think so Doyler, six points clear with a minute to go suggests otherwise. Limerick were always in hand. The end of the day it was a Limerick win and that is all i care about, we do what we need to at this time of the year. Hoover78 (Limerick) - Posts: 865 - 13/03/2014 16:26:50 1559287 Link 0 |
Funny feeling Waterford will do the business in Ennis...Forwards weren't up to scratch last week but with Jake Dillon back things will favour us.. H_Bomb12 (Waterford) - Posts: 32 - 13/03/2014 16:27:56 1559288 Link 0 |

Well like my own county I need to bounce back after last weekend's bad predictions also! Hoover78 I wouldnt be reading too much into any game at this time of the year and on their day, any county could beat anyone. We all know the only difference between the 2 teams on Sunday was Limerick took their chances and Wexford didnt. That was the difference. But good luck to you also, I hope Limerick keep up the progress and have a good long season ahead....while also hoping Offaly do us a massive favour on Sunday! From talking to some people walking out of Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, they werent overly confident of winning in Offaly. Pinkie (Wexford) - Posts: 4100 - 13/03/2014 16:45:36 1559309 Link 0 |
