Counties you wouldnt begrudge an All-Ireland

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

If your own county wasnt to win Liam or Sam what county would you like it to be?

In the hurling I'd begrudge no county winning it but would love to see Waterford win 1. They play a lovely style but just seem to have lacked something over the years to cross the finish line. Antrim are less realisitic but again would love to see them win 1 jsut for there commitment to the game while be locked away from the main hurling counties.

In the football Id have to say Mayo. A great football county again play a great style and have been dogged with bad luck/defeats down the years or Monaghan for family connections!

Dublin footballers - they never get to play at home, have no training centre of their own and their players have to drive through horrible traffic for training sessions. Sounds hellish. These guys really deserve a break.

Hurling: Limerick. Great hurlers down the years like Carey, Kirby, Quaid (x2) etc. did not get their just reward. My favourite opposition hurling fans. .

I think this is the second time a thread like this has been started.

If anyone deserves a football All-Ireland, it's Mayo.

Likewise for the effort and dedication they put in year, after year, Waterford in hurling.

No offence midleton but every county team puts in the effort?

I begrudge no county an all ireland. Any county that wins is deserving of their title imo.

Surprised nobody has mentioned us yet, or does it go without say?

Jackeen - not every county puts in the sane degree of effort. That's why the championship is not as competitive as it could be.

I'd love to see Meath win a hurling title, mainly because of Sean Boylan.

In football, the main problem is stopping ye winning them
