You need to complain to Toyota, someone knocks on your door and gives you 16 cars for players/mentors of hurling and football and Toyota Proace to transport their kit around who is going to complain? arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4955 - 03/03/2014 20:14:40 1554225 Link 0 |
Munster Rugby get a better deal. Nobody up in arms about that. Well done to Mossy for organising this. Good to see players getting looked after. JayP (Dublin) - Posts: 1772 - 03/03/2014 20:17:01 1554228 Link 0 |

I heard they're all getting their own helicopters and private yachts before the championship, bit ridiculous considering I saw half the Meath team driving home in bet up old Renault Fuegos and the other half having to get a lift home on the Tayto Park double decker, it's just wrong! What's the benefit to the GAA of Dublin hiring a guy to get 16 cars for players? If it's their money fair enough but isn't this the same county that's getting by far the most funding from the GAA? Also this is very close to professionalism. If it's individual players been brand ambassadors that's fair enough, but your own county board signing a deal that gets you a car because you play football/hurling for your county really is close enough to that. Cue all the crap about Dublin getting preferential treatment. People should aspire to how their county board is organised and motivated to do the best for their county and not only concerned about their clubs like so many boards up and down the country are. Good on them. Can't remember many complaining about skoda giving cars to Tipperary last year. Bain (Donegal) - Posts: 470 - 03/03/2014 21:06:31 1554280 Link 0 |

And to rub salt into the wounds, AIG will look after the insurance, all we need know is our local friendly Topaz station to provide the fuel free of charge, a bummer about the car tax though. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4955 - 03/03/2014 21:09:50 1554286 Link 0 |
Dublin players are semi professional they have a massive advantage in everyway but if I was in the same team I'd be lapping it up BigJohn.6_8 (Galway) - Posts: 704 - 03/03/2014 21:53:10 1554329 Link 0 |

Donegal Creameries gave each player a cow and a pound of butter. I don't see how this deal with Toyota and Dublin is any different. squareball_1988 (Donegal) - Posts: 343 - 04/03/2014 10:01:49 1554379 Link 0 |
