I love the Cavan / Monaghan rivalry. Only kopped last season just how bitter it is.

1548284 Always had a good bit of banter with the Dubs, Derry(we like them, they hate us) and Kildare folk.
Serious lack of banter with: Kerry, Armagh and Down(misplaced superiority complex)! ;)
Zero banter with Meath supporters; I'll leave that one at that!

You need a sense of humour to have Banter Gatekeeper. Its not our fault if you don't have one.

I work, live & Play in Dublin so i have great crack with the Dubs. In Fairness there is not one county i could single out for for being a bad bunch. Don't get me wrong every county has its bad apples my own included but overall i think the GAA banter is the best around.

Only time I felt unsafe at games was because of some of our own scum and in Omagh in 2006. Has to be said we are talking about a small minority but 3/4 idiots will be noticed by far more people than 3/4 sound people.

Used not care for Tipp supporters going back the years when they would take great pleasure from hammering us when we were terrible! Could never understand that. Now, they seem not so bad :-)

I least like our own supporters. . Up until the early 2000s I felt wexford had the best support in the country but in the last ten years it's dropped about 70% and if we went far behind they all head home at half time. But that made the few big results extra special. Only proper hurling people were there to share those moments

We don't get on with new York or London, they find it hard to accept that there's only one real 'capital of the world' - the ones wearing sky blue!

Mayo and Monaghan ;)

I've noticed many of the older Dublin fans who would be 50/60+, have a lot of respect for Meath, more so than anyone else in the country and like to see them do well if Dublin aren't up to much. As for the rest of the Dublin supporters, it's a friendly light hearted rivalry more so than anything. In contrast, Mayo and Louth people really detest Meath, which has transcended into a general hatred outside of football in many cases. Cork ain't much better.

I always liked Offaly and would love to see them do well again, and any Meath person I know roots for them whoever they are playing (apart from Meath obviously). Ask any Meath fan over a certain age who is the greatest footballer of all time, and you'll be told in no uncertain terms it was Matt Connor.

Having lived in Meath for a spell, I can tell you that it is far from one way traffic in the hatred stakes. Some people would really want to get over the Land Commission / 1996 / whatever you're having yourself.

Gleebo in fairness. I haven't ever talked to a Mayo person event those too young to been at match that doesn't say McDermott should have been sent off with McHale and I don't ever think he has done a interview where he's not complaining about it. Its nearly 20 years ago, get over it, we were by far the better team and with or without McHale we still would have won. Time to accept that and move on.

Apparently Mayo and ourselves have a decent enough relationship, stemming back to the welcome down in Mayo after Cormac McAnallen died.

Derry seems to get on well with Donegal and Antrim compared to the other Ulster counties.
I'm not a believer in the whole county rivalry thing though, throughout history borders of kingdoms changed so often so we were all connected to each other in some way or another, especially in Ulster

@The Gate Keeper

I would always support Tyrone when Derry are knocked out, 'lamh dearg abu' and all that :)

Meath seem to like Galway for some bizarre reason, maybe it's because they be hate'n on Mayo

Also, Tipp and Kilkenny supporters are very classy people that get along I'm sure

Defo Tyrone and Derry as the Gatekeeper said we love Derry so much we even let them have use of some of our pool of talented players i.e. Enda Muldoon and the Current Derry manager
