1548030 ok redhand, and as i said, i am not referring to lads on here, but i have seen more triumphalism from Tyrone fans than anyone else anytime they beat us and it got pretty close to the edge with a lot of them too,
there seemed a genuine hatred there that i had never seen from any other county fans
i know people wont like hearing that and i know its not all tyrone fans, but to be honest, it was a fair number all the same.

In fairness for me this steps from alot of run ins with Dublin fans and many from the city, clueless or not are horrible bunch to. For instance congratulating one in pub after game last year and he tried to start me, in fairness another dublin told him to wise up. We celebrate big wins, none bigger than Dublin or kerry because we passionately follow our county unlike alot of other counties who are happy to make up the numbers

Of course there's the famous alliance between Galway and Carlow which dates back to the Nine Year War when the men of Carlow got lost and ended up in Browns pub in Tuam. Both counties never looked back.

That friendship is only matched by the absolute love-in that exists between ourselves and Wicklow. Ah, Wicklow. Lovely, lovely Wicklow.

Needless to say there are others that vie for our affection. They come for a weekend and next thing you know its "When I was in Galway this" and "When I was in Galway that"... These people are usually from the northern half of the country and sure, who could blame them, and generally the affection is mutual. Except for the Fermanagh lads. What's with their fondness for red sauce anyway? And then there are the lads from meath who still haven't gotten over 2001. They have it the worst. They hate us, but they love us too. It kills them that we prefer Westmeath but it's not all bad news. We've all had a few good pints in Navan and didn't they give us the Book of Kells?

We like the Dubs, but then who doesn't? The Mayo lads are generally all right. Sligo is pretty decent.

But Tipperary? Don't even get me started.

Leitrim and Fermanagh as neighbours sharing a border around Kiltyclogher would always back each other probably as we rarely play each other.

I take it you don't like successful teams so.

No, just found some Kerry folks attitude very poor when we were doing okay in football. I remember walking out with a lad from the Gaelic grounds one day and could not get over the poor nature of the fans. God rest his soul Pauidi was right.

As for Tipp, see above.

Cork have every right to be a bunch of so and so's more so than Kerry but they are not but i find them a decent bunch. I would add Kilkenny to that as they are a sound bunch of lads.

There is a difference between confidence and arrogance.

I think that Tipp would struggle to have too many allies in hurling, most counties seem to love getting one over them. One of the reasons for this could be that they border all the other div 1A and1B apart from 3. Plus I don't think their great team of the 60's were too popular outside Tipp.

I have to agree with liam on this one. There is an element, and it is sizeable, of Tyrone supporters who become unhinged at football matches. Now I am no shrinking violet, but there are limits & these guys do the very many decent Tyrone men no favours.

WE have an ok relationship with waterford and galway. Wicklow and Carlow have always worn purple and gold in the summer !!! Carlow not so much lately. Dublin hurling people have always been great :) not so great in football though !! huge bandwagon

I always thought that Carlow would shout for Kilkenny before they would shout for Wexford.

For Down I would say Donegal, Derry, Meath and Kerry.
This is shown by the recent replay of the 1991 All Ireland Final
and there was a kingdom of the Mournes/kingdom of Kerru
event hosted in Down in recent years that I think
Darragh O Se and Jack O'Shea attended.

Louth and Dublin do get on well.
Its the wee county being taken care of by the next wee'est county in Ireland!!.....like a big brother!!

Geography lesson 1. ---- Carlow is the next smallest county after Louth.

Granted muck, there is a Neanderthal element of the Tyrone support which shames us all and is embarrassing in the extreme. We don't want them anywhere near our games.

I would say we have a good relationship with all the other Munster hurling counties, although a little strained with Waterford in the noughties, and the Limerick crowd would be my favorite. I would not say there is a very good relationship with Kilkenny, certainly not the same way we get on with the Kerry lads in football, and maybe not Galway either. I would say there is a good relationship also with all the other counties in Munster in football, though some of the Kerry crowd can be tediously triumphalist but the two crowds do mix well and generally get on great. Mayo are the best fans in Ireland and I much prefer the Galway football crowd to their hurling counterparts. Dare I say it, there is a certain element of the support from Dublin, Meath and the six counties that I would never mix with.

Counties who's fans seem to really not like Dublin are Mayo, Laois, Cork and Tyrone.
Dunno why, never get the friendly banter with them the way we do with other for some reason.

Maybe they just don't like you Liam! ;)

Went up through Fermanagh and Cavan on my way to the 2012All Ireland and both counties had a whole lot of Donegal flags out which was a great send off for us. Also heard that the Tyrone and Monaghan crowd had plenty of Donegal flags out as well And on my way home from England on the week before saw a few Donegal flags out in Dungiven. So plenty of brotherly love still exists in Ulster. It's seems to be that the dogfights in the Ulster championship is all forgotten when an Ulster team sets sail for Sam

Always had a good bit of banter with the Dubs, Derry(we like them, they hate us) and Kildare folk.
Serious lack of banter with: Kerry, Armagh and Down(misplaced superiority complex)! ;)
Zero banter with Meath supporters; I'll leave that one at that!

Although in theory we dont like Kilkenny, I have never had any problem with their supporters and respect them to the highest esteem. Waterford, Offaly and Dublin also I would have great time for, Dublin hurling folk are dead on.

Have no major dislikes though if I'm being honest but the above 3 would be my 3 favourites when Wexford not playing.
