Ziggy reillys marker today should have got 3 black cards 2 yellows and a straight red for the attempt to break his leg. I hope hs puts up this post as it shows how bad reffing is and if you allow a player to continue he will get worse. It was a disgraceful performance , no place for it on football field. And he was rightly booed off the field while graham got a heros reception , let's just hope he is ok. Ccc need to take a long look at what went on.

It's true that goals win games, but we only conceded 3 this league and didn't concede one in the whole 2013 championship. We were indeed poor today but didn't we win? 2 straight promotions, I'm happy enough.

Just in from armagh. We won a strange game. I thought that our lads were good for a lot of the game, but the big lesson of the day was the long ball into the forwards, rather than getting dead ended in possession while carrying the ball into crowds. We got 2 goals as a result of this. Also Mcbrearty showed his real worth today with an unmark-able display when he came on. A bit worried by the way armagh created chances today when they ran straight at us in the first half. we could have leaked 3 today again, but on the balance of things, the result was a fair indication of where the 2 teams are at. Good luck to armagh on rebuilding, there is something there to work on, the only thing that they lack is concentration at times of the game.

Monaghan will be waiting in the long grass for us in croke part in 3 weeks time. but I think that we can take them this time.

Well done to Donegal and Monaghan as it turned out a fairly tough Div. I can't figure out how Down beat Donegal and then went on to loose their next games Div 2 next year will be tough again and am glad we are gone to Div 1 Hope to stay there next year and create a good impression plus three games against Ulster rivals.
Anyway Donegal fans we better congratulate the hurlers on winning Div3a . Well done lads and hope for another trophy on Wed night via U21's. Then in 3 weeks time let's collect the Div 2 trophy which would leave us stil in April with 3 cups already captured Roll on September.

Pride of 85.
One point would do but it would be nice to won by more , have it wrapped up by half time. Now do you not think that Monaghan could beat Donegal as you should know from following this Div2 league this last few weeks that anything can happen Me , I'm hoping Donegal will win but if we don't it's not the end of the world. I think that's what Monaghan must start doing :::: winning games in Croke Park Looking forward to the Final and a win would set us up nicely for CELTIC Park.

Very proud of our young team today and the fact we were missing a few players most notably up and coming midfielder Fiontan O'Curraoin. Unlucky not to get a draw as we had a couple of frees near the end. Given we lost our 1st three games think we are slowly getting it together and the 2 all-ireland winning teams are producing some players who are starting to gel. Hope Finian Hanley is ok for London. Well done Monaghan and Donegal on promotion.

We beat a half strength monaghan team this year for the first time since 1983. I would be delighted with a 1 point win against any team in the final, but there is nothing between ourselves and monaghan on league form to date. It will be all on the day, and unlike my fellow county man above, I would see it as being an essential game to win to set up the rest of the year properly.

Serious favorites not. All on the day.

The marker on Graham Reilly was a absolute disgrace. Never tried to play the ball once.

I think this Division 2 final will be very tight. I don't see either side running out easy winners.

I doubt anybody could really call this game with much confidence, as Monaghan were understrength in Letterkenny against Donegal in the last game. And Donegal are looking better than they were last season. Should be a good battle.

Seanie08 i think some of our fans lauding our young team has to be taken in the context of where we were after 3 games. Most teams would have capitulated but we regrouped and hopefully are slowly on the rise. Ashure is somewhat harsh in his assessement of ye as i previously said on this thread i thought ye were the real deal. By the same token your 'lauding' comment sounds like a cheap shot but i will take it as a reaction to Ashure. Ye are the here and now and we could be a coming force. We have done it before so no reason to believe we cannot do it in the future.

With the Ulster championship around the corner I doubt this is a game either team wants with the possibility that they could meet in a ulster final.

There job is done both got promoted I think if you asked both counties they would rather not have this game.

Fancy Donegal to win final.

Imagine how D Connolly feels, everytime he step's onto a pitch he comes in for special treatment!!! as they say

Looking forward to this game which both teams will want to win.

They should both be at full strength & is something approaching championship fettle so a good game is in prospect.

Donegal were understrength for the Ulster final last year & Monaghan were missing a number of key players in the league meeting so this game will tell us a lot and will make a good curtain raiser for the Div 1 final.

I fancy Donegal too. But the experience in Croker is a great for our lads. I also want to commend Monaghan on moving from Div 3 to Div 1 in 2 years. Very impressive for a county with only 30 clubs

The usual tripe, he's more sinned against than sinner..

As usual in the GAA its never the aggressor but the lad who retaliates who gets punished.

He comes in for no more than any other top class forward, Gooch springs to mind as a player who got dog's abuse.

Connolly is a class act & defenders will do whatever they feel they can get away with. It's not right but that's the way it is.
