Is there any situation that gains meath promotion??? Meath2010 (Meath) - Posts: 108 - 31/03/2014 11:36:52 1567568 Link 0 |
In fairness I think Armagh's half forward line is the best we have had for 10 years. Caolan Rafferty is pure quality. JP91 (Armagh) - Posts: 316 - 31/03/2014 11:44:56 1567580 Link 0 |
Meath can get promoted by a Monaghan win/draw, Down and Donegal to lose and Meath to put up a ridiculous score (~30 pts)... DarrenG (Donegal) - Posts: 5 - 31/03/2014 11:47:08 1567582 Link 0 |

Can anyone enlighten me on the head to head rule on teams finishing level on points ie if we lose against armagh and down win v laois. When did this rule take effect? Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3849 - 31/03/2014 12:20:53 1567622 Link 0 |
Head to head for donkey's years just look at the standings in the tables Cork over Derry, Galway over Armagh etc. suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1744 - 31/03/2014 12:57:06 1567665 Link 0 |

Well done Meath on your victory over what I would consider, a Down team with a soft centre. Take them out of Newry and give them a battle, and they don't want to know. MourneArmy (Down) - Posts: 1787 - 31/03/2014 15:22:17 1567862 Link 0 |
So to clarify, head to head does not count, unless the teams are on equal points scored, then the head to head record is considered. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3849 - 31/03/2014 15:36:17 1567887 Link 0 |
Just read up on the gaa rules. Head to head is used only when 2 teams are on level points.Points difference if there are 3 teams on level points. Stupid rule there should be either points difference only or head to head only not a combination of both. Jimin10 (Meath) - Posts: 783 - 31/03/2014 15:56:49 1567923 Link 0 |
Head to head if there are two teams level on points. If this game ended in a draw then it goes to points difference. If there are three or more teams level on points it goes on points difference. OLLIE (Louth) - Posts: 12224 - 31/03/2014 16:01:02 1567930 Link 0 |

Cuchulainn I think JP was putting McKenna in the unavailable category. Armaghball (Armagh) - Posts: 96 - 31/03/2014 18:45:54 1568094 Link 0 |
Thanks for clearing this up. I found it hard to believe that dongeal ran the risk of forfeiting 2nd spot if we lost and down won next week. Donegalman (None) - Posts: 3849 - 31/03/2014 19:10:35 1568116 Link 0 |
Say for example if Donegal and Monaghan are in the Div 2 final, is it definitely fixed for Croke Park? Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9788 - 31/03/2014 19:21:13 1568120 Link 0 |
