A draw will keep us up.... and secure Donegal promotion.

The conspiracy theorists will be out in force if it ends in a draw.

If we lose on the last day it makes no difference now. The points difference between ourselves, Monaghan and Meath is vast. Same re Monaghan, unless either orselves and monaghan lose by 20 odd points, and the field can muster a 15 point victory.

As we are playing at home and apart from been lazy in today first half we are playing well overall this year!

Not quite. In the unlikely event we win, Monaghan, Louth and Down all win. Down will be ahead of you on head to head. You would get some odds on that happening though

While good for the win today we did get a point when it was wide. Not a great day and we can't afford to be complacent like this again or our home record will come to an end.

Why is everyone assuming that Monaghan will win their last game?

Because we are the best team in the Division, and we haven't put our strongest 15 out yet!

let them keep saying it maroon diesel. unknown to many all our 5 points have come in the last 3 games so form is getting better after the portlaoise debacle. if down or donegal win their last game we are safe irrespective of how we do in clones but I expect us to have a right go as we cannot be relying on others.

Not true kiloughter. If laois draw with down and Armagh and Galway lose, Galway will be level with ls and Armagh, and relegated on score difference

Even if we lose maroon diesel it's unlikely that we will be caught by Down and Meath as they need to overturn a 15 point and 34 point score difference, it may be possible but unlikely as they don't have the upperhand in the head to head.
Down could pip Donegal on the head to head if results go there way.

Why is the RTE website showing Monaghan above Donegal, the points difference is plain to see

Four of those points have been won at home. You couldn't beat Louth in Drogheda. Monaghan in Clones are a completely different animal.

Back from Tuam - an experience in wich all GAA people should endure, when we here about SKY TV and the poor GAA supporter, we the Armagh supporter had to travel the longer journey out to Tuam, then the turnsiles got stuck,( toilets -we'll not go there)- and took our seats in the hayshed - yes a hayshed..... an experience.... the only bright side is that Armagh outnumbered Galway 3-1 and we had a 4+hour journey home

Save your cribs for Christmas Cuchulainn. You'd swear reading your post that ye were the first supporters to ever have to travel to an away fixture.

Hard luck today, ye're lads put up a brave fight in the second half and for a while there it was on a knives edge.

I hope at least ye took my advice and enjoyed a post match pint in the Vaults.

My Galway friend - no complaints, Galway were the better team, we gave 2-1 away in the opening 14 mins, Galway should have had another 2 goals, we were lucky just to have one man sent off,

BUT Tuam is a dump, a disgrace, that's not an opinion, its fact..... as a GAA suporter who traveled a long distance, and in big numbers, we were servedTuam, a relic from a bygone age....

Tuam does suck in fairness, hazmat city. Environmental warfare.
If Galway and Down win next week it would be Donegal and Down for promotion going by the head to head Monaghan amigos

thanks to very poor refereeing in the meath Donegal game Donegal are going up instead of meath, still not a bad league campaign for meath big improvement after the monaghan game

suckvalleypaddy you must not know how the league works if you think Down's draw with us gives them a better head to head against us. Yes if Galway and Down win it might very well result in Down overtaking us but they need to overturn a 15 score difference. But if Donegal were to lose Down could pip them on head to head if they are the only 2 teams on 9 points.
Amigo.

How do you work that out? Down and Monaghan drew, if we both finish on the same points it goes to points difference, and we have a healthy lead in that at the moment. It would take a couple of freak results to turn that around. If Down, Monaghan and Donegal all finish on the same points, again it goes to points difference. Down's best hope is for Armagh to beat Donegal, Down and Monaghan to win and Meath to lose, leaving just Down and Donegal on the same points, and Down getting promoted due to the head to head.

I saw you geting stuck in the tutnstiles in Tuam Stadium yesterday, You would want to ease up on the breakfast rolls... On a footballing note, we know that Galway are a million miles off the standard of the top teams in the Country but it doesnt say much for Armagh... Def should have has at least two sent off and like Galway looked clueless at times!

Not true. Thanks to a number of things, including losing at home to armagh. Still, meath are finishing strong and will set up a worthy attack at leinster if they work on the down performance.
