As far as I know its head to head if two teams finish level and score difference if three finish level.

This weekend will be pivotal for Meath this year.
Think we will win and set up for summer.

Couldnt agree more. I think it is exactly the same for down. They have to win both their remaining games to make the division 2 final, and if they dont, they could be looking at another very short summer. the draw has been very unkind to them in ulster this year, and I feel that they will be throwing the kitchen sink at meath in navan this weekend.

MonaghanGlory I saw the Laois Meath match last Saturday night week and it was a match laois could have won with a bit more cuteness(although Meath posters probably won't agree withy me!!). They kicked a few bad wides in the second half and missed a good goal chance when the game was in the melting pot. They have a few nice players but I think Monaghan should be well able for them. They have changed their tactics from the massed defence that Justin McNulty had them playing to pulling just one forward (Billy Sheehan) back.

Meath V Down.....Meath, bit of momentum at our backs and wanting to make amends for our last home match v Armagh
Donegal v Louth..Donegal, Louth in desperate need of points but would take a Donegal collapse for them to get anything here
Galway v Armagh..Galway, although a draw wouldn't surprise me
Monaghan v Laois..Monaghan, a win almost ensures promotion for Monaghan and Laois not strong enough

OnTheWhiteSide thanks, hopefully the boys are up for it, we have a few coming back from injury too which is great, one being Hughes , in saying that scored a goal last week so it's good to have him back.

It will all come out of the wash over the next 2 games who is going to be starting on the donegal forward line. It is great that mcbrearty is showing well. Mcneillis is likewise. Other than that, young Oconnor is a great find, but too young to start v derry. It will be an experienced team to start there is no question about that. The prospect of coming away from celtic park with a result in june will only be possible if our experienced players line out. Mcivor would smell blood if he saw a team of rookies starting.

Awk I know come May that the big guns will be lining out, and McFadden will definitely be starting that day if he is fit.

After lacklustre performances by Colm against Meath and Down, I thought it might be good to give the others a start against Louth and Armagh. But I he could feature as a sub in those two games and start against Derry.

Meath let galway walk in too many times but won easy.
Meath didn't turn up at all in clones.
Meath lost game to armagh that they should have won due to combination of poor decision making on both pitch and sideline
Meath could have and probably should have beat donegal
Meath made massive errors against laois but weren't punished for them.

Those are accurate assesments of meaths year so far. It really is about what meath team turns up and can micko actually start to read a game in real time.

I'm very worried for meath football, at times you can see excellence and at other times they look like headless chickens with no leaders on the field and management looking like lost puppies
I'd agree this is a must win game for meath, get beat and staring at division 3 , win and we can claim some sort of solice. But I feel Down will have too much for us. I hope I'm wrong.

I think that is a fair assessment of us so far but I would look at it from a slightly more optimistic point of view in that we are improving slowly as opposed to slowly getting worse. The Down game is a very tricky one and I'm yet to be convinced that we can put up good consistent performances against Ulster teams so they may well beat us, the Louth game will be pivotal I feel.

Anyway wait till the real fun starts in the summer, then we'll properly be able to gauge if we've improved or not.

I'm a natural glass half full man. But from what I've seen of meath this year it is turning me into glass half empty.
Changes left far too late and when made are wrong ones. Its like deja vu with obrien. But at least we won a leinster with him. I hope this is the same.
