Knew it would be close. Was listening on the radio, not a great performance but Meath played well by all accounts. They'll be gutted didn't get more out of that. Do no harm, it'll bring us back to Earth a bit.

Meath Blew it, play out of there skins and then blew it and with galway winning today i mean relegation is upon us if we dont close out games.
If i was MOD i would go through the forward who kicked the ball straight at keeper to put meath ahead
Watching this Meath Team is Driving me mad on how stupid they are and gramham reily shouldnt start next game either still a lazy tackler need be brought aside and told he isint bigger than MEATH GAA and needs to pull his weight

Mightily relieved to take a point today. Stress levels weren't helped by my link to Highland radio breaking down after 68 minutes. Sounded like it was a fair result, with Meath the better team in first half, and Donegal very wasteful in the second half. Great win for Galway today too.

I acknowledge the frustration of some Meath posters here but I was very proud leaving Ballybofey today, yes we could and should have won but all the talk before today was about damage limitation and how we would struggle to keep it kicked out to donegal, we displayed fire, passion, determination and some good football today and not many teams will go to Ballybofey and get anything. Important thing now is to win next weekend against Laois, it's a tight division and we are still just two points off second place so a win next weekend will almost erase relegation fears dng keep a promotion chance alive, if we can do what we done in Ballybofey today and learn more from it is be confident, but cautious, heading to portlaoise. Well done to MOD and the lads today and to all the Meath supporters who made the trip

Before the game I would have taken your arm off for a draw but given the way the game played out I was a little bit disappointed (having now cooled down) with the draw, we probably should have taken 2 points but 1 point will help us stay up.

Division 2 is still very open and looking at the bottom I think the 4 Ulster teams are pretty safe but anyone from Laois down could go. I think Louth will probably go down at this stage barring a serious turn around but Laois, Galway and Meath are in a dog fight for survival. Our game against Laois is vital for us to stay up I think, if Laois beat us then we're probably going to have to get a minimum of 3 points from our remaining two games and you just couldn't trust us to do that, very hard to know at this stage.

There's no form line. We beat Galway by fifteen but lost to Armagh by 9 . Down beat armagh but lost to Galway by 7 . Armagh won away to meath but are the only team that couldn't beat louth. And Meath who are struggling get a draw away to Donegal in a match they should have won. Confusing

Just home after the game. Donegal had their chances but Meath were excellent and will count themselves unlucky not to be going home with 2 points. Real tempo to the game. Have to say some of Meaths foot passing was a joy to watch, spreading the play when needed. Thank god for Christy toye. Looked really confident and worked like a horse. Chipped in with a few points too. Good match by both teams.

Hats off to Meath. they probably earned survival today in division 2. It could be a season turning moment for them. Wasnt at the game, but listened to the 2nd half on the car radio and it sounded like we were fortunate. Will take a point on a day like that any day.

Delighted to get away with a point.

Meath surprised me & I'd say the Donegal players as well & only for Christy Toye who was magnificent we would have lost.

Donegal were very flat & conceded midfield completely for the first 20 mins. They got back into it but then were flat again at the start of the second half. Having gone in front they then went off the boil again & only for Murphy's well struck free the gamwe would have been lost.

Still as things turned out we are now 2 points clear but JMcG has plenty to ponder on.

One other thing that needs to be said. The practise of assistant managers running on to the field with instructions needs to be looked at. Both sets of assistants were on & off the field constantly especially in the first half, there is no need for it & it should be stopped.

It was a strange oll game. We started terribly and were obviously trying different things for kick out. Needless to say it didn't work. I thought we played a lot better in second half and only for some poor shot selections may have won, although could have a maybe should've lost. It's was a good game to get as you learn nothing from rolling over every team you meet. Considering were pretty poor in first half a draw isn't bad. Final note Murphys final point was some score.

We won handy enough,Louth are very poor, but never gave up even being a man down the still kept going.

Annoyed that we didnt turn in a strong second half with a spare man, poor passing and sloppy play cost us going second tonight on score difference.

Next Saturday will be a massive game in Armagh, they seem to be scoring well, while we dont seem to be hitting top form we are still in the mix.

With Armagh and Down both to play Donegal we have to make sure we win to have any chance of getting promotion.Think we will by a small margin. /\/\

Meath surprised me

They surprised me to today Muckross but to be fair I've been watching this Meath team since our first O'Byrne cup game in January and we're not near as bad as we looked against Monaghan or Armagh. Ok we still have a fight on our hands to stay up but we are well capable of mixing it against some of the better teams. Donegal will undoubtedly go up and Louth probably will go down but as for who's going to join both teams, well that's anybodies guess, Division 2 isn't failing to excite this year.

Very poor from Louth again today. Division 3 is calling us. A great display from the Royals and probably unlucky not to come away with the two points. Galway had some win today. Louth play them next week in Drogheda. Anything less then two points for Louth and its curtains.
