Hit them hard hard hard as pat short would say :-) I always loved Ciaran duff I saw him play in Killarney in a few league games when I was young and was was in awe of him and afraid for my life when he'd come over to the sideline for a ball. Have you any idea what he's up to these days?

Well Kingdomboy, he worked in the ESB down through years, haven't seen him around but I don't be on the scene that much myself!

A bit harsh on Declan Darcy maybe? He did/does have a genuine family attachment to Leitrim.

ah he still moved simple as did the other villain: Larry Tompkins, Shea Fahy, Carl O'Dwyer, Seanie Johnson etc

@MichaelO and @Horsebox

Well first of all, it's if had to pick a villian from my county. Some people chose to just say overall heros and villians whereas some also added heros from their own county, I thought it was only fair to name villians from my own county too.

To explain my choices, Star which people have agreed with had max 2 good seasons with Kerry yet still starts? I also think he makes an awful lot of bad decisions. He's a one trick pony, and for some reason (and sure enough maybe he's not at fault for this) he still starts and takes the place of in my opinion more deserving players. Coming from Tralee I played against him a few times, and he never stood out in those games. Daniel Bohan who has featured on and off for Kerry always had much more of a bearing on games played for Stacks than star did.

Fair enough Horsebox, perhaps Quirke is a harsh one, as you said he had one job to do. But I don't how many times I was frustrated with him because that job was the only job he could do. His kick passing was poor, his tackling was terrible, and the man had absolutley no pace to ever track back. And ironically this guy with a huge lack of skill, goes around from school to school teaching kids skills, and teaching coaches training regimes?! Again also played against him, and sure sometimes it was just awkwardness but he was a fairly dirty player in my opinion. With the black card now and his extreme lack of pace he would never get on the Kerry team now even in his prime, not a lot of players that were playing only a few years ago would you say that about!

And horsebox I was at that game, but I really don't think one game saves a player

JMK: I totally agree with you regarding the Star but still think your harsh on Mike Q, we didn't re-invent the wheel in 2006, but it took counties 2 or 3 years to get to grips, we as a county have eventually evolved again and tried something new with the placing of Cooper on the forty, unfortunately where as other players have improved on added another dimension to their play unfort Star has not changed and is like you say "a one trick pony". Mike was never going to win 100 metres sprints and was never a 70 minute man, his role was that of last 20 minutes just to steady the ship and win primary possession, I have played both With and Against Mike and have marked him on a few occasions, it is just the sheer girth and size that players cannot handle, but you always play to your strengths his strength was just exactly that "his strength" but ya I see your point.

Thats my Christmas ruined again. However not as bad the gift I got from the missus one year - a DVD of the 98 All Ireland Football Final. What was she thinking. She must really hate me.

I suppose thats what I get for getting her a dyson the year before.
