So weak themaster
Still playing the poor mouth...
I've no interest in continuing this "discussion" with you
Your disingenuous ideals of "fairness" are quite frankly not worth the effort
Fairness should start at home mate... get back to me when Mayo have addressed their own huge advantages over nearly every other county in Ireland, and stop playing the whinger poor mouth...
But we all know the reason for such...
Advantages will always exist.. the only way to address it is for everyone to address their own version of such
So please give it a rest... it's quite obvious that all your doing is annoying people with your BS
Just look at the Golden Hoggie thread

Brend I dont believe he has. Every point he makes is about mayo in terms of connacht, and specifically leitrim. How about mayo in terms of the rest of the country? Surely that is the correct mode for comparison, and not this false scale that he is forcing onto mayo and nobody else. It is akin to the multi-millionaire on your street telling people that you with a steady middle of the road job are really well off because you have more money than the poorest soul in the village... In other words, garbage. The reality is he is trying to paint mayo as the exception, when in fact mayo are smack bang in with everyone else, and it is dublin adn leitrim who are the exceptions at either end. Why would a county right in the middle be tasked with sorting out a county right at the bottom, when there is a county so far out in front that they could bring leitrim up to average levels 10 times over and still lead the way themselves? I didnt think you could be fooled so easily.
I've just read over Jimbo's posts on this subject. There has been no mention of Leitrim on any of his posts.
In terms of the rest of the country I'd expect Mayo are up there with the top 2 or 3 in spending €650k on the senior team.
I think it is more akin to a multi-millionaire telling another multi-millionaire (or someone who spends like a multi-millionaire) they are really well off.
I expect that rather than being right in the middle Mayo is up there in the top three and certainly No 1 in Connacht. I just wish Cavan were able to spend this level on our senior team...
I don't think anyone (other than the Kildare secretary) is talking about equal distribution - it's the hypocrisy that annoys people.

Aido69 Master, your side-stepping the issue. One simple question. Is your obvious financial clout fair on the other provincial counties?
Provide your own county's figures, then we can talk. I am happy to discuss this topic, once all the facts have been provided. The sooner you provide them the sooner we can get to the bottom of it, so really, it is in your court...
Also, refusing to answer questions and then demanding answers to your own isnt going to cut it with me Im afraid. We have the mayo figures, now let's get a few more so we can form a basis for analysis. That is the next step in this argument, so let's hear them.

Absolute hypocrite Master.
You had no such qualms about having all counties figures laid out when you were waxing lyrical about Dublin's finances.

Mayo do not have €13 million in their bank account of anything within an asses roar of it. They spent near €16 million on a new stand and media centre (not a grand redevelopment as some called it, just one side) so the reality is they are not much better off than anyone in Connacht although I have no doubt they are financial pace setters out west, but they are not megabucks. Having said all that at least they had the ambition to develop a county ground capable of holding all their league matches and championship fixtures, pride in a place called home counts for a lot !!!

Fairness should start at home... When is it going to start in your home? Mayo dont have advantages over nearly every other county. They have the average population, therefore what they can generate is the average amount, they couldnt be more middle of the road. Now we have loaded our investment towards the footballers, but that is our own loss on the hurling side. That is the balance we have struck. Combine both totals for every county and see how we measure up as regards spending.
Im not denying that mayo are somewhat better off then some counties - half of them to be exact, but you are never going to get every county exactly the same, and that isnt the argument. Just like dublin are always going to be the biggest and I dont have an issue with that. It is the scale of dublin's advantage that is the issue, and your trying to lump dublin's monsterous advantage in with other advantages is totally disingenuous, and frankly I am more surprised that people are actually falling for it. Dublin are miles out of proportion with everyone else, Im saying they should be put into line with the excess used to help teams that are struggling to maintain those proportions. It couldnt be more reasonable.

MesAmis Absolute hypocrite Master. You had no such qualms about having all counties figures laid out when you were waxing lyrical about Dublin's finances.
On the contrary, I would have been more than happy had they been available, because it would have backed up my points totally. Why arent these figures freely available?
What is hypocritical is you discussing mayo's spending when you know your own county probably spent twice as much. That isnt an exaggeration either, between hurling and football across both counties at all grades, dublin probably spent twice as much as mayo on their intercounty teams, if not more. Mayo's cards are on the table, yet you time and again refuse to address your own. Then you want to be critical of mayo? Who did you say was the hypocrite again? Do me a favour.

The expected reaction in fairness. I've no problem with Mayo's spending. You're missing the entire point.
You are a hypocrite because you say that in order to discuss this matter further everyone's accounts should be on the table. You made no such demand on yourself and your musings about Dublin's finances. That is hypocritical Master whatever way you wanna try and spin it.
My post is to do with your hypocrisy, not about Mayo v Dublin spending. Very simple distinction that I'm surprised, judging by your post, that completely went over your head.

Listen pal, off the high horse. I asked you a simple question first. You answered my question with one of your own, side-stepping issue and have now started your usual prevaricating. Just answer the simple question. Is it fair

Nonsense, you are deliberately being obtuse here to ignore the logic behind it. There was no spending on the table when I made the points about dublin, even though I made several requests for them, and would happily compare them, as it is the basis of my argument. Now that there are figures for 1 county only, and people are clearly sensationalising conclusions about what is a middle of the road team, spending wise. The obvious natural progression is to get the figures of more counties to see if they are actually spending big in relative terms. The answer is they are not. Any reasonable and intelligent person can see that regardless of how their figures are displayed, they dont have the ability to be spending more than everyone else. But some people are not reasonable or intelligent, so we need the figures to display to them what is actually going on. Maybe my mistake was assuming they were?

Moomoo I believe they spent an extra 170,000 up from last year. They also raised an extra 170,000 than last year. Altogether we spent 740,000 on our senior teams. no word on what dublin spent on the same teams as of yet...
