Yes use of the word emerging and Alan Feeney not right, also will Tom King be available to Mayo due to Soccer committments?

Yes of course they can and fingers crossed they will. In fairness to Mayo Dublin were the better team in the final this year and I thought they did well to get to within a point of them which will hopefully spur them on in 2014.

Mayo played good football this year and won many of their matches with big scores. Mayo won the All-Ireland minor title this year, so the future should be bright for them. There are not too many teams capable of winning the All-Ireland and I believe Mayo are one of those teams that can win the All-Ireland. An croí a bhíos dóchasach, ní hiondúil é lagmhisniúil.

Mayo will never win the All Ireland unless we start producing outstanding forwards who can score when the pressure is really on

Mayo this year reminded me a lot of Cork in 2009 (brothers in underachievement!). Outstanding team of the championship but choked in the final. No disrespect to Dublin who deserved the All-Ireland a la Kerry in 2009. Mayo can come back from it. I think they will if not next year then within the next two to three years. I don't think Dublin are as far ahead of the pack as many people seem to assume. I am hoping Cork will come back strong too. Another similarity with Cork in 2009 is that Mayo HAVE the forwards just that they are underrated for some reason. It certainly was no hindrance up to September!

While I think they have an excellent management team, It will be a huge mental and physical ask for the players to pick themselves up and go again for a 4th year.

Sean Boylan once said that it takes a monumental effort to be the last man standing ( Win an All Ireland ). To do it twice on the trot requires a monumental amount of physical and mental effort by players.

Mayo have contested the final for 2 years running, and they contested the SF for 3 years running. I think it will be a stretch too far for them in 2014.
However they do have a strong core of players who could still make winning Sam a reality, maybe with a few men added to the equation.

Mayo will be there or thereabouts in 2014, but I expect a stronger Tyrone, a re-energised & refocused Donegal, tricky Meath and Galway outfits to step up. With a few other teams also looking to make strides forward.

Of course we CAN, will. We make it a reality? That's the million dollar question. I am just looking forward to getting back to going to games in January and we have the trip to New York in May. Nothing beats following your county.

The occasional Sam every 60 years or so would help.

Have to say, you'd almost feel for James Horan this year, under a tremendous amount of pressure to deliver and even if he takes them to three finals in a row, and that is a serious achievement, he will feel like an utter failure if he doesn't bring home the bacon!

They need a National League instead of chasing 'only' SAM (cos it aint working for them)!.....Learning to walk before they can run would help them a lot!

Trouble with the league snuff is injuries, fatigue etc, we have the panel for that, won it without focusing on it, can Mayo afford that luxury?

Honestly: Only 2 teams can win All Ireland...Dublin and Kerry. Mayo missed the boat. Cork and Tyrone are team building. Donegal are a second division team who won an All Ireland through tactics and fitness, but are on a slippery downhill slope.Derry might be a long shot, but honestly the Dubs can win it for the next 5 years.
