Bit of an old topic this but I was looking on the Galway website for views on their trip over here to play London this weekend and noticed that 2013 All-Ireland champions St Thomas's are out of the running already for 2015 and are in fact in relegation trouble in Galway. Seems to make a nonsense of all those who say Galway sides get it handy by having a clear run to the All-Ireland stage. To even have a chance of making Croke Park in March it seems Galway teams need to be training for the previous 13 months! While the senior county team continue to underperform, it seems club hurling in Galway remains incredibly strong.
