MKR hadn't half their team out in that game you're referring to. Hope MLR do it but I feel this is the end of the road. hurlingguru (Carlow) - Posts: 1841 - 27/01/2014 20:42:29 1537588 Link 0 |
can't see Loughgiel getting beaten but this game will be a lot tighter than your man above thinks.17 or 18 points at this time of year on a heavy winter pitch will be enough to win most matches,it's all on the day and may the best team win... turfcutter (Antrim) - Posts: 277 - 27/01/2014 21:31:17 1537613 Link 0 |
turfcutter - let the best team win - could not agree more! Looking forward to the trip and the match - perhaps with a bit of luck we will be looking forward to Croke Park on Paddys Day - if not then, very best wishes to Loughgiel. carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1875 - 27/01/2014 21:44:59 1537625 Link 0 |

Maybe Mlr will lose by 15 points as some posters are suggesting but i doubt it. carlovia (None) - Posts: 1537 - 28/01/2014 09:43:44 1537659 Link 0 |
Fact carlovia. They ll rattle loughiel i think. Great bet at 13/8. They beat two v fancied teams in ballyboden and oulart so they have nothing to fear. old yellar (None) - Posts: 2630 - 28/01/2014 11:03:37 1537696 Link 0 |
Most of the talk on here is the Leinster v ulster match which i for one would not write off Mlr but you;d have to fancy Loughiel considering their expieriences in last few yrs.Any thouhts out there on the Nap v Portumna match?Breen in the corner big loss for them whats the thinking around the country on this one.Portumna are favourites but i have a feeling myself for Nap. someday (Limerick) - Posts: 1104 - 28/01/2014 15:41:29 1537864 Link 0 |
I meant no disrespect to MLR. Beating Ballyboden and OTB was no mean achievement but I'd take Loughgiel to beat either of those teams too. I did say barring a monsoon. Pairc Esler is not known for its drying qualities and is a heavy pitch but I'm certain that Loughgiel will take the sort of chances that OTB squandered in the poor conditions that day. I totally agree with 'Carlovia'. Some of the comments on here are really disrespectful to the Carlow & Leinster Champions. Maybe they are to lure Loughgiel into a false sense of security. Coming out of Leinster is a massive achievement. I repeat my post from the Antrim site. Spillane (Antrim) - Posts: 15 - 28/01/2014 16:59:16 1537923 Link 0 |

Fair play to MlR. Hope they win the final now ( no offence to the other two teams). joncarter (Galway) - Posts: 2692 - 08/02/2014 16:20:46 1543153 Link 0 |

Brilliant win for MLR. Once again taken for granted as they were by Boden and Oulart. Hope they win the final now. Hurling revolution continues!! hurlingdub (Dublin) - Posts: 6978 - 08/02/2014 16:50:12 1543172 Link 0 |
Fair play to Kickham's Creggan, 10 points down at half time, brought it level 2 minutes into injury time in the second half. All to play for in extra time now. muffin (Antrim) - Posts: 128 - 08/02/2014 16:54:34 1543179 Link 0 |

.....except tinryland. Im sure he wanted them to lose! flack (Dublin) - Posts: 1054 - 08/02/2014 16:57:09 1543181 Link 0 |
Thanks Jon carter. You reckoned they wouldn't keep it pucked though out against Oulart (10 or 15pts pts from memory) and that they were fortunate against Ballyboden St Enda's. The benefit of hindsight and all that. Notwithstanding, the good wishes are welcome. Up Carlow hurling. Good for the game Passer_By (Carlow) - Posts: 534 - 08/02/2014 17:23:48 1543193 Link 0 |
Well done MLR - no complaints - they were the more physical and hungery side, and were always in front, cuchulainn35 (Armagh) - Posts: 1688 - 08/02/2014 17:27:41 1543196 Link 0 |
