The part where you are actually quoting me, just point out the bit that isnt true. The exact part. This weird, axe to grind-laden response doesnt add up either. I never made any inaccurate claims, I never made anything up. I stated exactly what happened, and exactly how players developed under his management. That isnt telling lies. You did. Therefore how is it the same? You are just making yourself seem like someone with an axe to grind and are a bit or a liar to boot. I dont really get why you want to do that.

As regards losing by a point or getting hammered, give me losing by a point any day. It shows how close you are to winning and that you can come again, maybe this time get the bit of luck you didnt get last time, and win it. That old nonsense about it being better to lose by 6-7 points might be easier to take initially, but in the long run it isnt. You whole stance on this thread displays you in a pretty poor light it must be said. I mean you actually won, and yet you are still whinging. It raises the question, how bitter would you be if brogans flick on had gone over the bar instead of under it? Or is it about footall at all? Maybe not by the looks of things. As I said - a poor light.

Also, the admins can prove right this minute that myself and moomoo are posting from different ip addresses in different parts of the country, at the same time. Id ask them to do so. Obviously, since it is an anonymous board id ask not to say where either of us are. But they can confirm that we are in different places.

I said after Mayo beat Donegal last season, that if they don't win the All Ireland in 2013 the current setup is finished. In other words they won't be in the running for Sam 2014.
They may have lost narrowly in the end against Dublin, but my opinion was based on keeping hunger going for a 4th year under James Horan..

Mayo have a wonderful group of players, who's last 3 championships have been Impressive, but no doubt draining mentally.

2011 - All Ireland SF - Lost to Kerry
2012 - All Ireland Final - Lost to Donegal
2013 - All Ireland Final - Lost to Dublin

Sean Boylan said that being the last man standing takes a huge toll on a team physically and mentally. He was referring to winning back to back All Ireland's, and the amount of work and effort required to reach the final and then win it.
Kerry may have contested loads of finals in the noughties, but they did manage to win some along the way.
Mayo are now entering their 4th year without winning an All Ireland, It will be a massive ask for those same players to pick themselves up for another year.
