Will James Horan give it another go?

Why is this 'IDENTICAL' thread to one which was on here only 2 weeks ago appearing again?.....and why are people responding to it with their same points being made?
Do you people not get bored of the same thread only 2 weeks apart?
Do you not think to yerselves "Hmmm, did I not just answer this same thread only 2 weeks ago"???

jimbodub, has it not occured to you that the pressure game mayo play caused those teams to 'have their worst performance of the year'?

Why would it? I didn't say those words... just passing on what I thought was an interesting angle regarding James Horan's current mindset.

The whole flogging a dead horse thing... he's gone to great lengths to blame his own players over the last few years

There's enough there to suggest that he may think that despite all his efforts... he doesn't have the players

So as well as being an excerpt on the Mayo county boards finances you can now read the Mayo managers mind

Oh yes... multiple times I've seen him having a cut at his players... even named a couple of them at one stage

Let us have some examples then. It shouldnt be hard to dig out these interviews. I mean james horan publically slating his players several times would be a well documented occurance. Now bear in mind, I already addressed him stating where we need to improve after a game, like every manager does. So obviously that isnt having a cut at anyone it is just stating how they need to improve. Anyway, examples..

I'm not worried about any team themaster. Sure we can only worry about ourselves.

And yet you are, for my money, inventing stories about the team that came the closest to beating you last year. You are saying one thing, but what you appear to be doing seems to indicate something different. Maybe your examples of horan having a cut at his players will show this to be my mistake though.

Considering that Dublin only played in bits and pieces throughout the Championship as pointed out by Mick-Daragh recently and yet it was still good enough to win.

Every team only plays in bits and pieces every year. No team plays well in every game, and yet someone wins every year. It might pay both yourself and 'Mick-Daragh' better to give the self-praise a miss and maybe concentrate on your next game?

I would have high hopes that this team have far from peaked and the best is still to come.

As have I for my team, and our manager.

Jim is looking for a complete performance and we didn't see that once during the 2013 Championship

When did you ever see a complete perfromance? Also, is Jim publically having a cut at his players here? Saying they are not performing to the required level? Flogging a dead horse maybe?

Yet we still won... impressive.

You keep that mentality going, hopefully you are all thinking like that. Arent we impressive?

Would be glad to see him go. f@*#ed up on all Ireland day 2012 and again in 2013 in my opinion. Cost us 2 all-Irelands. How many more chances does he need?

You're right there Patrick..

I should have put "possible" mindset... Some do need things spelled out for them. Apologies

As regards Mayo GAA finances. I know a few tit bits of info but others are allowed to freely make up whatever they want and state it as fact regarding Dublins finances. I just did the same there Patrick...

Simple stuff isn't it.. :) Although I'm only too happy to simplify it further for you

themaster he named at least 3-4 players who could have prevented Murphy scoring his goal in the AI final... when questioned about getting his match ups wrong... Pretty sure it was the article relating to RTE's bias coverage leading up to the 2012 final... Think he named OShea / Dillon and a couple of others, all this came about when questioned about getting his match ups wrong. Didn't take any blame... Just named a few key Mayo players

Ya I read that too jimbo. He made the point that others out the field were as much to blame as the corner back and so simply blaming keane alone wasnt the entire story, which is 100% accurate. He wasnt absolving himself, he was trying to be fair to keane. Where is he having a cut at them though?

He is no more having a cut at his players than Jim Gavin was when he said they still werent performing to the required levels.

Spelled out for them? You said you knew his mindset now your changing your story once again.

Only a few bits? Yet you talk about it every chance you get as if you knew everything about it. As for people freely making up what ever they want you do it yourself quite a lot, have you got the links of JH blaming his players for losing games?

Yet with the ''superior Trinity College Dublin education'' you cant understand the simple workings of the Kerry county championship..

Exactly, Barry Moran's woeful attempt at a tackle on Karl Lacey before he delivered the ball to Murphy could be blamed aswell.
