St. Vincents 1-9
Ballymun Kickhams 1-8

Connolly and McMahon sent off and apparently were still at it on the sideline!
Heavy conditions kept the standard down, excuse the pun, but Ballymun will be kicking themselves, congrats to Vinnies and a fine tribute to Heffo!

how did ballymun lose that?
dominated the match for 50 mins and then philly macmahon wrongly sent off had massive bearing on the game.
connolly be lucky to make the league for dublin after what he did.
i said it before the drawn game id lay bets he be sent off.
sean george has to be in the dublin panel next year he was unreal again tonight

What a buzz Connolly gets sent off for stamping on McMahon then when McMahon gets up he gets a second yellow for whatever happened before that , when he's walking off the field he starts calling out Connolly Connolly does the exact same thing the whole stand stood up to see these two Gladiators go at it only for the two teams and mentors get in the middle of them it would have been some scrap, you knew the two would clash eventually but what a buzz when they were calling each other out.

I agree Hill.

Mun threw it away the last day and again last night.

The ball into the forwards wasnt sticking and was being cleared out way to easily.

Rock was wasted at full forward in the last 10mins when Vinnies were on the comeback.

Hubby was excellent yet again and Davy Byrne has the heart of a lion.

Mossy I felt was excellent throughout too.

Regarding the sendings off, I felt the ref got it wrong to 2nd yellow Philly, even though he was walking a tightrope after getting booked so early on.

He was livid and wanted to continue it on the sidelines alright with a few of the Vincents squad.

He raced after the ref at Full Time too. The phrase Bottled It was clearly heard...

You could clearly see that more than a couple of the Kickhams players were carrying knocks in the game. James McCarthy was out of it completely in the 2nd half. His legs were gone.

Connolly scored some point in the 2nd half beating 3 players but you could see he was getting involved too much in the niggle that was there from the start.

Wonder how long Diarmuid will be suspended for after what he did. Didnt look good to be honest...

Yes CKD Philly was livid. I wouldnt fancy trying to stop him with that temper.

Even after the game he was really fuming...

Reckon there would only have been 1 winner in that scrap..

As a neutral at the game lastnight think the wet conditions meant the standard dropped considerably from the drawn game and connolly and mcmahon did themselves no favours with their antics. also vincents subs had no business jumping the wall of the stand to get into the field when the row erupted. On the game itself vincents subs seemed to have more of an impact on the game towards the end as legs tired but Rock and Furman should have done more damage with the quality of ball that they got particularly in the 1st half.
I presume connolly is now out of vincents Leinster campaign?

Diarmuid will get at least at 1 month suspension so that will rule him out of the Leinster CLub Championship alright.

Oh I dont know CKD, Philly was fairly mad for it last night after getting sent off.

I thought his 2nd yellow was very harsh to be fair to him.
I didnt see him doing anything wrong during the incident to warrant it.

Philly done nothing before the stamp the linesman took the windy option and just wanted to even it up which is a joke.
He was lying on the ground sure how can he have done anything to deserve a yellow in them circumstances and then it goes from Ballymun free to a throw ball after Vincentsget a player straight red carded, shocking decisions on show also considering fennell was seen by the ref throw a punch in the first half but only called him over to talk to him.
Ballymun dominated the game again only to somehow cough it up.can't see Vincents getting far in Leinster without connolly they be average team

he done nothing fionn he was on the ground when connolly done it to him how can you pick up a second yellow when you get stamped on shocking poor decision by linesman ,thats who he was incensed with walking off the pitch ,he was used as a scapegoate by the linesman who was afraid to just send the one off.

Firstly, well done to Vincents. It was visably clear Ballymun were the walking wounded and had it went to extra time I imagine Vincents had fitter bodies to carry them home. Saying that, the scuffle and treatment concerning Connolly and McMahon took at least 5 minutes and the ref played one minute by my watch, 2 mins acccording to Dub Match Tracker.....why was there not about seven mins of time added?

On the McMahon/Connolly incident. Felt McMahon was harshly treated. Was on his knees when Connolly initially made contact and was lying prone, face down when Connolly decided the first contact. Sickening behaviour from what is supposed to be one of Dublins leading lights. Im a neutral....I wouldnt want him playing for my club nevermind my county after what he did. Deserves at least a year long ban.

Clondalkindub.....McMahon was on his own....Connolly was standing behind the Vincents masses shouting at McMahon. Connolly looked a bit windy if ya ask me. Easy to act tough when the entire Vincents bench is holding one man back. And easy to hit a fella off guard or lying injured.

Vincents dont need a guy like Connolly, Mossy was superb and a model GAA player throughout his time in a Dublin or Vincents jersey.

Best of luck to Vincents....I hope you win Leinster without that excuse for a sportsperson.

Vinnies will be hard pressed to win Leinster without Dermie. Lomans indeed might be worth a few bob.

I dont think there is anything to stop them on their side of the draw, Connolly is a fabulous player and a huge miss but I suspect they will scrap through sunday and then beat winners of Summerhill or Newtown BLues without him.If he gets one month, which i think he will, he will be back for the final.
