County Finals

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

I think the Dublin county final will be a fine game. Hopefully the weather holds up. Why county finals are played in winter ill never know! Hard to predict, with the Mun reaching the AI final last year and Vincents looking to put another AI medal in their players pockets. Vincents have Connolly who was unplayable in the semi, and if he fires again i think they will win!

Dublin SHC Final will be an all southside affair between arch rivals Lucan and 'Boden!

Regards,

Snufalufagus....Laochra Gael

you can hardly class lucan as a southside team now snuffy
half of lucan is north and the other half south and if your being honest lucan was otiginaly northside as old lucan village is northside

Where is the GAA Grounds? North or south of River? That will deteremine clubs designation.

There pitch is Southside but don't mean anything as take craobh chirann there pitch is in clonshaugh but everybody who plays for them is from donneycarney in fact there ground is closer for Innis fails,Trinity Gaels,o tooles and Parnell's than themselves

Sure isn't Lucan's best player from North of the river?! Most of Lucan is south of the river alright but some of it is north of the river too.

It's west Dublin, like yourselves!

I haven't a clue and don't really care all I know is that Lucan is a southside suburb of Dublin.

Pity Dublin final wasn't shown. Looks like it was a classic. Wrong option taken by tg4 as big dublin population watchin county final would help promote gailge as well as showing probably the best match on the day

Fairly soft free given to Vinnies to level it. I thought the ref was gonna kick it over for them too.

Great game....I heard a lot of "neither deserved to lose"...personally if I was a Ballymun player Id be gutted about the "free" at the end!

Tg4 messed up again what a game had bit of everything.
Full house extra time and a draw after extra time Haha
Thought Vincents waited far too long to put connolly to full forward as ballun had the game down up until he went in there and they got 1-02 to get a draw.
Surely should have put him in when bringing eamonn fennell on.
Ballymun showed great heart despite picking up injuries which stretched their panel to the limit but fought back in second period of extra time to kick 3 unanswered points to go back in front and should have taken point at end to wrap it up instead of going for goal.
But fair play to demo connolly he showed nerves of steel to kick the equaliser and force a replay

Sorry JayP, dodgy decision alright, but it wouldn't be a GAA game without it :)
