As for Portlaoise, are you going to say the same if Vincents beat THEM? They have pedigree at this level and it would be no surprise if they won!

where you saying the same last year about ballymun kickhams out of interest? seen as they are dublin club,do you feel they have far more coaches and this and that?
Now im not going to say summerhill dont have neighbouring teams, but to come out with vincents have x amount of coaches and players to pick from well frankly without knowing facts is strange, dublin is the second smallest county in size in ireland yet has a huge amount of clubs grouped close together, clubs dont automatically get players like other countys because they are born in a parish, you could have 3 clubs in the one parish area in dublin so you named 3 or 4 big well known clubs but what about all the other clubs in that area around them are they all not competing for players? vincents has abig tradition in dublin gaa but a club 5 mins down the road has very little tradition and alot more money and better facitlites they are parnells but cannot beat vincents, now do you feel parnells should be expected to beat vincents simply because there club accounts have more zeros on them then vincents? or the fact they have better facitlites? I think most people would expect vincents to win if you ask me

Jesus I'm not anti Vincent's or anti Dublin just wanna say that if a huge club beats a smaller one I find it hard to see how it a super win. The thing about Dublin being smallest GAA county is nonsense. Look at population for god sake. I actually have soft spot for Dublin n shouted for them against Kerry this year and in all their hurling games.

Well done to St Vincent's and there 1000 coaches on winning the all club championship next Paddies day, sure it's to be expected after all. Hard luck to everyone else but when you've 1000 coaches your unstoppable.

They were missing their two best players, that counts for a lot in club football!

Kingdom boy it better for GAA that Dublin won. Nice to see the thing spread around. Told ya have soft spot for GAA men in Dublin competing with other sports to keep our games going. Football will always be top in Kerry no matter what

im sick of all the crap about dublin population etcetera.but dont start on my club.if we have so many coaches why did we have to get a coach off one of the junior teams to take our u21 side on the week of championship.considering we have such amazing resources, then obviously none of the lads playing today would have been coached by their fathers brought in half way through a year when there was no one else to take a team(i know as i played up with some of the lads).and also seeing as weve so many people in dublin,we have to compete with numerous clubs.I could play for as many as 8/9 clubs all within 20 minutes cycle of me.rant over

1517189 Realdub Im all for Dublin and I know GAA can only be a success if Dublin enjoys success. Lived in Dublin for a while so I promise Im not anti Dub. I would however like for you guys to take a good dose of perspective. Vincents (and others in Dublin) prob have more coaches at their club than Summerhill have at theirs. Good luck to dub teams but making a deal out of winning is like a bully gloating over beating a kid half his size.

There is nothing wrong with supporting and being happy that a team from your own county has won. comparing it with a bully gloating is just stupidity of the highest order. Vincents were favourites for this game, but without Connolly and Brennan and the way the game was going for a while it was great to get the win and look forward to a leinster final against Portlaois.
You are showing a lack of respect for other clubs around leinster and Ireland with your posts. Every club believes they have a chance in club championship and train hard to compete, irrelevant of the amount of coaches around.
Ballymun showed it last year and should of won the Dublin championship this year and aren't a huge club, The starting 15 for St Vincents team bar 1 player were from the local area in this years Dublin Final. So if you havn't got the players no amount of coaches will win you a game. At club level unless the players really want it first and foremost , as Crossmaglen and recently Brigids would testify to , Youll win nothing.
So don't try and belittle a group of lads from their local area ,the same as any other club around the country winning a game that's gets them into a provincial final.

or vincents werent suppossed to celebrate beating ballymun in the dublin final considering they have more coaches then them, yet howcome ballymun were favs?

Hill16no1man I'm givin up not taking on all of Dublin. Just so u know there are more senior clubs in north tipperary than there are in all of limerick twice the number of hurling schools n oodles more players so that really was a super win.

sure by that rate cork has the biggest pick of players as they have most registered gaa members,so they should be expected to beat dublin shouldnt they?
you must feel kilkenny having a homecoming after they win the all ireland is a drag so haha as they are expected to win every year

Cork have the most clubs (mainly because geographically, it's such a big county), they dont have the most players. Dublin have the most teams (clubs have several adult teams), the most divisions and the most players.

the master

there fore by your estimation would you conclude dublin clubs actually have it harder as by having the bigger population in the second smallest land area means there are 3 or 4 clubs in the same parish area meaning its far more competition for players then it is in rural areas
