Clondalkin, Cunniffe picked up an injury just before half time, hence why he didn't continue. He was fully fit to start.
He's got more chance of getting an all star than either of the Dublin corner backs, so maybe take a minute or two and remember his name.

Keith Higgins cause he has to get into this team and there's no place for him in the forward line. Eh your man Tom got a roasting off O Gara and was taken off at half time hardly all star material.

He was injured clondalkindub. Hamstring. Was taken off in every big game this year with it. Good footballer but for reason of injury I would agree with you and question his nomination. I know they're both nominally left corner backs but I would have both Colin Walshe and Chris Barrett in my team.

I felt I had to point out that while Cluxton is an excellent keeper he is by no means infallible as he's sometimes made out to be. Fellas (many of them culchies) bleating on about how he's the best by a country mile aren't analysing his performances, they're taking the popular line. He just about deserves an All Star. In a parallel universe where Hennelly punches that ball away from Brogan and Mayo win Sam he gets the All Star. It's about fine margins, this Dublin team are very good, but they're not all conquering Killkenny 06-13 good and the debate about their players should reflect that ie. they're the best, but not unbeatable.

Given the ridiculous team that was picked recently by the contributors to Hoganstand here's hoping they make a better job of this team.

This forum is just been turned into a joke, its seems like if ya dont pick the players that some certain posters want you to pick then you get slated for your opinion, ya would swear some of ye were trying to influence the voting. Cluxton a cert for keeper and not far off POTY and Higgins and O'Carroll two corner backs, as higgins wont get a spot in half forward line (FLYNN/COOPER/CONNOLLY) and Cafferkey Full back.

Cathal McCarron. He was caught out for the first Donegal goal in May and that was pretty much the last mistake he made. He was magnificent in the league final v Dublin and AI semi v Mayo.

Colin Walshe isn't even getting mentioned? He would be my pick, he marked McBrearty and Martin Dunne off the park which went a long way to them winning Ulster.

A first of our All Star awards for Mayo as Tom Cunniffe is a clear winner of the right full back position.

Surprise, surprise Tom has not even got a nomination on the official All Star selection. But then again what would our readers know?

Cathal McCarron polled a decent second with Marc O Se coming in third.

So to the coveted full back spot and as before our nominations centre around those who played most of their football over the year in that position.

Our nominations are Rory O Carroll of Dublin, Ger Cafferky of Mayo, Cavans Rory Dunne and Drew Wylie of Monaghan.

Will leave voting on this one until 10pm Sunday night and feel free to vote for a player outside our list.
