1504785 Cork fell over the line in '10 they didn't top the league or win the league they didn't win Munster and bet Roscommon ,were blessed to beat Dublin and were lucky to beat Down, but I've always said it was a disgrace that not 1 Cork forward got an all star that year.
WRONG again Clondalkin. Cork hammered Mayo in the league final. They also hammered Dublin in the league that year. According to you, we were lucky to beat everyone.... I'll say no more.

cute kerry hoor
dont know what your laughing at as cian o sullivans switch was one of the main reasons we got on top in the second half as cooper had been dominating his duel with ger brennan and in the second half i think kerry only managed six points with cian time and time again bursting out of half back setting the tone.

Dublin won the All-Ireland football final and the National Football league this year, consequently they played more high profile games than any other team. It is natural that the first port of call for selecting footballer of the year would be Dublin considering their success. Michael Darragh Macauley is the engine of the Dublin team. Rinneadh sé obair na gcapall tríd an bliain. Is dona í an onóir is gan í do d'onóir. Michael Darragh Macauley footballer of the year.

Lads I think The Gooch has been the best player to ever play the game but tis wasnt even his best year. No way does he deserve it. I think his performances this year have been exagerated.
Now im not saying he wasnt good he was still brilliant, and as I sayed he is the best to ever play the game. But player of the year???? No way!!

And Michael Darragh does???????? Well obviously he does that's why he's one of three players nominated by the all star committee for player of the year.

Cooper may well get this and if he does thats fair enough and I wouldnt argue with it atall But it does once again prove what everyone says, its a lot easier for Kerry/Cork to win things than anyone else Sorry Kerry lads, but it just is. Colm Genius that he is, will win POTY on HS based on two first half showings against Cork and Dublin.
He did very little in the second half against us once COS went on him and he was quietened in the second half re Cork after they brought on their starting 15 at half time!!
Players who have had to do it all year against far better opposition should be the main runners ie MDMA, Cluxton, COS, Keegan, Boyle and SOS
Two halves of football regardless of how good they were, should not be enough to win you a POTY

With the greatest respect Liam that is rubbish. Dublin stolled through Leinster this year beating their nearest rivals by 16 points and then beat Meath by 9 points pulling up. So one could argue that Dublin have it easy up the 1/4 finals. IMO Macauley is an fantastic athlete but not a fantastic footballer. He has a great engine but is not blessed with the vision and skills that Gooch has.
Dublin are finding just as easy in leinster as Kerry and Cork are in Munster.

cannot agree dublin played 3 matches to win leinster two of them against division one teams now. the other against a division two side in meath who have a tradition against dublin the same as cork have against kerry. waterford, clare, limerick and tipperary are light years behind meath, kildare and westmeath because the scorelines were impressive it should actually prove the point of how well dublin played this year.

I would not argue that for a second. MDMA is many things, but a natural footballer he aint!! But to compare him to Cooper is completely apples and oranges. One is an industrious engine at MF the other is arguably the greatest footballer to ever play the game. Colm should have 3 POTY awards by now and the fact he has none is simply a jokeshop, but, each year should be judged on its own merits, and each player should also be judged on his personal contribution, and to say Colm had a more influential year on the championship than MDMA is, to use your own words Seds, Simply Rubbish.

There are no teams of the standard of Meath, Kildare, Laois or indeed Wexford, Westmeath in Munster. I wish they were. The facts are many teams have won the Leinster Chanpioship in the last sixty years.

I'd have Keith Higgins in before Tom Cunniffe however the other 14 are spot on selections IMO.
