Martin Dunne is my choice for his performances in every game he played in.

Bernard Brogan top scorer from play, say no more.

A bit more to say in fairness, Bernard was joint top scorer from play alongside Dunne! BB had 3-10 whereas Dunne hit 1-16.

Very tough one this between Dunne and Brogan. Ideally I'd have them both in the lineup. I think O'Donaghue deserves the other corner so it is a straight choice between these two now. Should really of voted for one of them instead of O'Connor yesterday but I was going with the nominations too much maybe!

In anyways going to go for Dunne. I think he scored a little bit more consistently during the Championship whereas BB got his scores in a late surge at the end (although you could argue his scoring came in the 2 biggest occasions of the year!)

Martin Dunne.

Like I said....JOINT top scorer from play!

Especially important seeing as you're using the fact that Bernard was Top Scorer from play as a justification for picking him over a lad who scored the same as him from play.

Hadnt realised dunne had scored so much from play. Considering he was playing for cavan it is some going.

Bernard Brogan stepped up when Dublin needed him most and he is the best 14 in the land by some distance. Martin Dunne did nothing in Cavan's biggest game of the year v Kerry except throw a hissyfit when he was substituted.

Bernard Brogan for 14.

Not sure about that CKH. People talk about O'Connor getting tap in goals, well brogans were much the same if we are being honest about it. Outside the goals ger cafferkey actually done very well on him. I think your assessment is a bit harsh on dunne.

Dunne had a very good year for Cavan, there's no disputing that but an All-Star should be able to produce it on the big days. Bernard did and Martin didn't IMO. At the end of the day, it was Bernard's goals that won the All-Ireland for Dublin and he also gave Marc Ó Sé a bit of a dusting in fairness.

Brogan was average most of the year, but turned it on when it mattered and performed on the biggest days.

Dunne had a very good year all round, but when Cavan really needed their top scorer to step up he was nowhere. He did nothing against Kerry and in a tight game against Monaghan when they could have reached an Ulster final, he was found wanting aswell.

No contest for me, Brogan.

Brogan- did it on the big occasions. His tussle with Cafferky in the final was probably the highlight of the year, two fine players.
